Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:False Reap predecessor
The Pendejo Guard by Craig Jones
If you’re learning the false reap, this will absolutely give you some navigation on how to approach entering the position. Must have for sure
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Legitimate Game changer
I’m a purple belt who’s always kind of struggled with the top game. I’ve always felt like my bottom game whether it’s leg locks or sweeping was a lot more predominant and the way I approach jiujitsu. If you find yourself with in that kind of realm of player, I suggest you buy this if you really want to see the potential of a full game in jiujitsu. These concepts will guarantee you a silver medal!

Clinch Wrestling Basics by Pat Smith
This is extremely beneficial to anyone with Greco-Roman wrestling aspirations, but also very useful for other forms of wrestling, including jiujitsu(submission wrestling). Pat Smith is an EXCELLENT instructor. He not only breaks down the techniques, but also the whys and what-ifs very effectively. This is not a random assortment of techniques, but rather a structured system. I can't praise this one enough.

Introduction To BJJ by Bernardo Faria
Introduction to BJJ made a definite difference is my mindset going to my first few weeks of class. I felt like I at least was oriented around why people were in one position or another and what the terms being used in class meant. That alone made class much more interesting and I felt like I was able to ask higher quality questions.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Where there is a gi… there’s a choke not too far behind…
Lapel Chokes From Everywhere by Miko Hytonen
I love using the gi as a weapon, and this guy not only shows you how to use it as a weapon, he makes it funny, his poor buddy spider gets the lapel over and over and sometimes he taps him again just for fun…. One of my new favorites I added to my list of go to moves is the guard lapel Ezekiel and if I can’t get entire hand in there because the recipient is wiggling around too much or it’s a fat dude in a little gi I use my fist and turn it into a thrust choke! Boom baby!

High Percentage Chokes: No Gi by Lachlan Giles
All of the techniques are broken down into minute detail, well described, and filmed in multiple angles. Watching this instructional and implementing Lachlan’s set ups turned these techniques from fairly average to high percentage for me. I have been having a lot of fun strangling my training partners!

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Open Guard vol 2: Sweeps and Reversals by John Danaher
What more can be said about John Danaher. This series is so good. It also helps with Gi and No gi understanding but obviously mostly no gi. The clear and brilliant way he brings in concepts and they why of everything is genius. Amazing.

How To Beat Bigger Guys: Guard by Bruno Malfacine
Bruno doesn't waste time with an intro for this instructional. He gets right into explaining everything in just the right amount of detail. Some techniques require a collar grip but others could work just as effectively in no gi. Good length / amount of content for an instructional too.

Exit The System by Garry Tonon
Garry Tonon has truly helped me find my inner BJJ Houdini. After listening to Danaher say " You must learn to escape bad positions!' followed by "Garry takes that idea a little too far" I can honestly say that working these escapes and attempting to absorb some of the basic concepts involved, I have achieved one undeniable result: The despair is gone from my Jiujitsu. I no longer view every bad position or seemingly unsurmountable obstacle as a reason for a bad day on the mats. It is instead a problem that has potential solutions, counters, and most importantly it has helped me find a FUN new angle to approach my rolls. How far are you willing to go before you try to break free as opposed to our usual stiff methods of prevention? Are you willing to go the edge of the tap precipice and try your luck at a last second escape? While all the movements shown are fairly simple, the biggest lesson I took from this video was that if you get tapped in practice, SO WHAT. The only way to work these excellent evasions is to drop your ego at the door.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great for beginners
