WOW VERY EASY APPROACH EVEN COUNTER ATTACKS
Fundamentals of Side Control Escapes by Pedro Sauer
Pedro makes everything simple. The problem with the NEW BJJ which I love is that there is always a shiny move. Pedro keeps it simple and shows you how to move yourself out of pressure. You neeed to get this as you are learning from a Pioneer and Coral Belt.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:I struggled with Submissions this Immediately made me dangerous
Side Control Dominance by Andre Galvao
Purchased this as a white belt. Instead of going to class and drilling a move learn about simple concepts that can make your journey quicker. I realized simple things like have flat feet vs pushing off the toes. I love how he explains everything. I wanted to learn to get subs and not points so this was a legend to follow.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:I love Eddie a Pioneer in the Game
The Ultimate Rubber Guard by Eddie Bravo
I don't go to 10th Planet but I would love to use their techniques. While playing in guard I found myself going to mission control. I learned I am made for Rubber Guard. I would love more tutorials from 10th Planet people. I would love Eddie to break down Jersey and go into the Electric Chair. BTW Eddie to me Beat Royler and Metamorphis.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:BEST DAMN PIN Escapes Tied with John
The Pillars of Defense: Pin Escapes - Defensive to Offensive Cycles by Gordon Ryan
I watched this along with John's Pin escapes. The crazy thing Gordan teaches different escapes. His teaching style works so well you can watch this and apply it. I been using side guard so much that I learned new positions and escapes I haven't even drilled. Thanks KING

I like the way Nicky Ryan organizes and teaches his material, for easy for me to follow and also go back and review specific moves.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:THis needs more reviews
You have a coral belt teaching you how to relax and develop sensors to avoid your training partner to mount you. You will develop fast. Very simple approaches to Jiu Jitsu in whcih we don't use. We over complicate things and go for the new shiny move. You can be old and unathletic as he uses his legs well to show you how to flow like water my friend.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Quiet advanced
The Secrets To Power Striking by Liam Harrison
I really enjoyed the instructional but it was a bit too advanced for me to follow! Not so much explanation and everything done very quickly! I personally struggled to keep up:confused:
You can’t ignore leg locks
Leg Lock Counters by Ethan Crelinsten
As the leg lock game becomes more and more prevalent in tournaments in clubs you cannot afford to ignore defence and counters to it. Ethan Crenlinsten is part of the ‘B’ team and what I consider to be the new wave of modern Jiu Jitsu players so I find any content from him invaluable since it gives you front row seats to understand and learn how the modem game is evolving. The content itself is excellent and gives you another toolbox at your disposal to deal with leg lockers.

Systematically Attacking From Top Pins: Mount by Gordon Ryan
This was a great gift for myself. I cauth this on sale and man this is one th ebest decidsons I have ever made. Gordan Ryan needs to be protected at all times. This is even a different approach from the Mount 4x4 system. Get both and you will become a Mat Beast. After this we have to check out the North South and Side Mount.

Triangles Enter The System by John Danaher
This was one of the best purchases I ever got. For me once people learned to counter triangles I wanted to become next level. I never new there was so may triangle follow ups to a failed attempt. Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I have this escape series and all the New Wave Positional Escapes and Gordon also Garry Tonon Exit the system. Getting pinned ****** so I needed more than what I learned at my school. I can watch this if I don't have a drilling partner and execute. The fundamentals will make you remember what position you need. I can think of what I learned even when overwhelmed and Now I started counter attacks already. This has upped my game and people know me for my pesky defense. I tested it against guys about 70 pounds heavier.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The Best way to Learn the Mount
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Mounted Pin Attacks - The 4x4 Mount System by John Danaher
I have been good at guard and I am a guy around 215 and felt helpless in mount or bored. I have both John and Gordan Series. THe thing is Both are different. This helps your understand how to pin and be floaty and adapt so your oppenent never gets use to your mount. You will find yourself hunting for submissions. Thank you. I plan to buy any video John releases.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:JT is good teacher!
Submissions From Everywhere by JT Torres
Although JT usually plays Nogi these days, he is also an excellent player in Gi. His right hand grip is very good and gives me a lot of technical inspiration. Gi jiujitsu players love playing and teaching 'Rucas lepri', but JT is like a hidden gem. I recommend the submission of JT.

Systematically Attacking From Closed Guard by Gordon Ryan
Gordon shows how to attack and gives you the fundamentals you need to keep your guard. You can do this even if your old as Gordon is mythotical and like a slithering snake. What I like about this is you don't have to be explosive.

For a new BJJ guy like myself, this instructional ties in stand up striking and striking defense, along with excellent throws to blend with any ground game. Instantly one of my favorites. I especially appreciate how they stress how hundreds of reps must be utilized for proper motor memory in training, and this gives very a good guide as to how many reps are needed each session for combat proficiency.

This video series is what defined my transition from white belt to blue belt. I got to the point where I felt (and still feel) confident that I can escape any pin situation. The Movement Art System: Basic Concepts by Nick Salles and Danny Maira
First off, I'll say I've been a fan of these guys for a while. If you are familiar with their other technique courses like their passing DVDs, you know they typically have short sections at the beginning where they go over general concepts that the techniques will apply to. For this course, there are few if any techniques. Instead, this one is sort of a compilation of those concepts, plus some new concepts that (to my knowledge) they have never shared online before, all collected in one place. In other words, if you like the type of general BJJ concepts you might learn during a DVD from someone like Danaher or Ryan Hall, this course contains a ton of them, all of them extremely useful and high quality, many of which you will not find anywhere else. I guarantee if you watch this you will get several "oh **** why didn't I think of that?!" moments and ideas that will greatly improve your game, no matter what your style or level. However, there's more here than just that. What really sets this course apart from other "pure concept" DVDs you might have encountered is that the concepts are organized into an overall plan to optimize your learning AND improve your winning percentage during rolls. Wait a moment..."winning rolls," you might be asking? I don't roll to win, this is just practice, and I'm not a competitor! But OK, what is a competitor? On one level, anyone who competes is technically a competitor, but what we typically mean when we talk about competitors is people that go hard, are strong, don't give up bad positions, stay in control, go for the finish...in other words, competitors win more than non-competitors. Well, what if I told you that part of what this course does is explain succinctly and convincingly why, even if you're old, out of shape, small, or just plain don't like competing, and you can't or don't want to change any of that...you can STILL organize your jiu-jitsu around a competition mindset, AND GET WAY BETTER AT JIU-JITSU in the process than you otherwise would. No lifting weights, getting angry, or hurting people necessary; just follow the system laid out here and watch your jiu-jitsu become more efficient, make you feel stronger, find yourself in better positions more often, etc. But OK, maybe you ARE a competitor. You like lifting weights, going hard in rolls, and you want to win all the time. But maybe you feel like you could be winning more in competition? Well, if you're doing everything else right, it's probably your strategy and training mindset that is holding you back. Again...how many more times do I have to say it? You get the idea. Watch the DVD.

Buzzsaw Passing: No Gi by Andrew Wiltse
My guard passing has been poor for the longest time, but that's just now started to change with this instructional. Here Wiltse presents a complete system for guard passing with a style that suits me, not to mention the energy and fun that the Wiltse brothers bring to the instructional, these videos have provided me with a series of clear techniques, with information on how to respond to common counters.
