Precision Lapel Guard Escapes by Lucas Lepri
Lucas is one of the best guard passers in the game. He has kept up with the trending lapel guards and knows how to pass those too.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Essential Philosophy
Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
Introduces a completely different way of thinking about positional control for the top game. Even if the techniques themselves weren't great, the shift in mindset would be worth the price. But of course, the techniques ARE great. Craig explains everything clearly, with principles as well as the what/how of the moves, and he has a great sense of humor.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Simple and Effective Techniques
The American Jiu Jitsu Pressure Passing System by Jake Shields
Jake is a great instructor and I found his moves very practical and effective. I find myself using the Nick Diaz pass and the lockdown leg swisher quite a lot since. Recommend purchasing, even for white belts.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Instant benefits
How to Pass Guards Quickly and Easily Using Leg Attacks by Craig Jones
Improved instantly by using the details explained in the video
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very useful explanation of principles
Standing2Ground: Takedowns & Standing Skills For Jiu Jitsu by John Danaher
Danaher's teaching style definitely isn't for everyone- if you just want to see the move, he is not the instructor for you. However, I personally really enjoy how thorough he is in explaining everything- I find the emphasis he places on WHY something works and not just how to be extremely helpful because it helps me progress in my understanding of the sport as a whole and how everything is connected.

Escapes Engineered For Guys Over 40 by Thomas Rozdzynski
I enjoyed the simple approach to Jiu Jitsu and technical approach to solving problems. Prof R does really good job in highlighting details and providing a reason why each technique works. One of the things I like the most is that he always makes sure what all details are visible. Different angles make watching and studying very easy. Thank you
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Excellent balance of theory and technique
The Foundations of Back Control by Ante Dzolic
This course does a great job of both teaching individual techniques and providing a framework to understand why they work and chain them together. Some sections (bow and arrow, etc.) are gi-specific, but the overall concepts are very useful for both gi and no-gi.

Feet To Floor: Volume 1 Fundamental Standing Skills by John Danaher
Being older I don't practice the stand-up game as much as I should but this is a great video when you both end up on your feet and needs some nice tools to get it back to the ground quickly. The explanations are detailed and simple to understand.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Over/Under pass against all guards
Pressure Passing Encyclopedia by Bernardo Faria
Bernardo does a great job of teaching his over/under guard passing system. He shows you how to get this pass to work on so many different guards and how to deal with a person's counters or defenses to the pass. These passes are taught in a simple way and would be suitable for all levels.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Nice beginning strength program
10 Top Dumbbell Movements by Jason Khalipa
Not really a "BJJ" course, but an effective intro to dumbbell work for those who haven't done dedicated strength training before. The included free ebook is very helpful for referencing movements if you need to do so while at the gym.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Excellent for gi players
High Percentage Submissions by Bernardo Faria
Very effective overview of how to chain submissions together- the discussion of transitions in particular is very insightful and helped me a lot. Any beginner-intermediate level gi player will find a lot to learn here.

This is a nice short course, and I enjoyed hearing Craig Jones talk through the topic. I haven't yet tried to work this into my rolling so I can't say yet if it will get someone totally functional with it.

Standing2Ground: Takedowns & Standing Skills For Jiu Jitsu by John Danaher
The Standing 2Ground Takedowns video is beneficial for both BJJ and wrestling competitors. Concepts and practices presented in the video are valid for all levels of experience. I have been involved in wrestling and BJJ for a combined forty three years and still found this video to be informative and useful in my own grappling.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:GOAT Status
The Cowcatcher by Neil Melanson
Neil Melanson is awesome. Watching his videos, you can tell that this is a guy that has been obsessed with grappling for a long time. He is an excellent teacher, and is non-dogmatic about the whole thing. He is focused on whatever is most brutally effective, while being highly technical in it's application. I love this, because ultimately this is a martial art, and I want to know how to fight... not just score points in sport. The finishes are great, but he also leans toward what will work in an MMA setting positionally, so there is real carry over and you will often be putting yourself in a good spot for throwing punches too. I don't leave reviews often, but Neil's character and the quality of his instruction compelled me to do so. I hope I can train with him one day. Thanks Neil... keep going hard. You're an inspiration. P.S. I've seen all the other top teachers work also, so I have plenty to compare to. Danaher et al. have their place, but I'm choosing to spend more time learning what Neil is teaching first, and will see what happens after that.

Brilliant Explanation of Half Guard
Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Just finished watching this instructional from John Danaher on half guard. The way he breaks it down and explains everything is brilliant, he doesn’t leave any stone unturned. Elbow escapes, double elbow escapes, kuzushi, how to use half butterfly on half guard, roll through, back takes from half guard, lapel techniques from half guard, knee levers, dealing with reverse half guard, I mean John is just an Einstein of Bjj. I enjoyed it so much that I had to purchase another of his instructionals on pin escapes. Definitely worth it if you want to improve your half guard game.

Craig Jones does a great job of explaining the details and the why behind positions and moves. As with all his videos his teaching style is entertaining with the bits of humor he drops in the instructional. Will be purchasing more from Craig in the future.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:A really interesting, useful and different approach to back escapes & back defence
Back Escapes: Introducing The Hidden Posture by Priit Mihkelson
There's a fighter in my gym who is exceptional at escaping the back and winning top position with a very unique method. I was trying unsuccessfully to replicate what he was doing for months, and getting choked most times. Priit is the first person I've found that's actually teaching a similar style of back escape, and since watching the instructional, I am getting choked much less. What I love is that this escape, when successful, leaves you in top position, which is great for MMA. With regular 'shoulders to the mat' back escapes, even some of Danaher's methods, I find that against good people I just get mounted. Priit is applying self-reliance and independence of thought, and it's pushing the back escapes game forward. I am also starting to see elements of this style being used more and more at the high levels of Jiu Jitsu and MMA.

Upa Escape Mastery by Professor Henry Akins
Really thought well before the purchase… a dvd on upa seemed worthless. On the other hand, Professor Akins is hands down in my top three professors. In the end, worth it. Lot of small details let me know how much i can improve in this simple technique

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Unique and effective
Anti Jiu Jitsu by Kazushi Sakuraba
Sakuraba has a unique style. This is because he has a Catch Wrestling background. He has proven that his style works at the highest level of MMA. there are small details that differentiate his techniques from traditional BJJ. When he demonstrates his techniques you see that they are effective, when Bernado or Craig asks him a question, such as what if….. Sakura always has an answer without hesitation. An answer that makes sense and one that solves the problem. Sakuraba covers single legs and counters, as well as timing and entries. Sakuraba also shows the details that made his chokes so effective, small details that makes a difference. Sakuraba explains the advantages of only having one hook in, and why this is his preferred method for taking the back. I don’t want to make this a long drawn review, it suffices to say that the rest of this digital download continues in the same spirit, with Sakurabas unique approach to the game and the same attention to details. I recommend this product, as it has the potential to change the way you think and the potential to elevate your game. Sakuraba made an impact on the world of MMA when burst onto the scene, and this video shows you why.
