The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
Lachlans instructionals are excellent, you can’t go wrong. Very well organized, great details, clear communication. I especially like how this instructional has slow motion replays at the end of a section, it really helps anchor in the details. Good live roll breakdowns. I’m loving this as I recover from ACL injury, this will be my system as I return. Highly recommend.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Essential for all but especially the older grappler
Back Escapes: Introducing The Hidden Posture by Priit Mihkelson
60+ year old brown belt here. This DVD set (and really, all of Priit's sets) are genius. The crux of all of Priit's movements and positions are subtle angle changes that thwart the attacker. Coupled with hand fighting (and let's face it, most older BJJ practitioners will have "old man strength") you can survive even aggressive black belts, at the very least making them have to work really, really hard to submit you. At that the same time his entire approach involves energy efficiency and simplicity. You really need to buy and study all his DVDs because they really work together as a system. Invest the time studying and practicing these and you will become very hard to submit, stay very safe, and be able to roll for a long time. I think his approach is the only way to safely roll into your 60s and beyond.
Love it
