Fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Escapes Gi & No Gi by Lachlan Giles
I am a one stripe white belt. I have tried to learn several escapes from common control positions before but found them very hit and miss in actual rolling - especially as a small person. Lachlan goes into a lot of detail and a large number of scenarios so that I can see where the basic escapes have been failing me, understand why and work to correct my game. I love that he is also not a giant but has had success in ultimate weight class competitions so that I know his methods are biomechanically sound for those of us that are lighter.
