I think there are better jump off points for leg locks. Craig Jone's Down Under Leg Locks for example. But this is still a great set with tons of great information, especially on the saddle/inside sankaku/honey hole position.

This video is really helpful and helped me think about actively counter attacking as soon as I’m out of a pin. I really like John’s style of teaching and it has been incredible to add these into my game and see my submission attempts increase as I am always looking for a way to chase a sub even in an inferior position.

I just finished this instructional and wow there is A LOT in here, the step over series in itself blew my mind. I was also impressed by how many entries and finishes Neil has for the Sankaku series. All in all this is a series that is dense with high level technique and tactics from one of the best in the game! Highly recommended.

The Cobra Guard by Johnny Tama
I have been working on my guard and found my DLR retention was especially bad. The cobra guard video covers the transitions available when the opponent clears the DLR hook amd stuffs the leg. The emphasis on come ups with a lapel or other grip has been a very successful adddition to my game. The path is also open to transition to SLX or X as well.

Ryan's instructional has leveled up my game profoundly. I've seen these concepts described in detail by the highest level instructors and teachers, like Gordon and Danaher, but there is something special about the way Ryan teaches that makes some of the most cutting edge ideas in Jiu jitsu extremely user friendly. I recommend anyone pick this one up regardless of skill level. If you think Danaher and Gordon is a bit complicated (the instructionals are very long) this video is very useful because it acts like a compendium of MANY of their post important ideas that they often speak about in a single volume. Everything found here is reliable, practical, simple, and worthy of continuous practice to make your jiu jitsu reflective of the best in the game. Going to be one I return to often throughout the years.

I am missing the back attacks and the Kimura. Once I am have completed the material I am on currently I will certainly be picked these other two gems up. I don't care what anyone says, Danaher gives great information and the wordiness just comes from preemptive feedback. If you were to get a private from him, these are the same tips you would hear. Plus, you can always speed it up. Love this content-for me, it is the best way to consume the technique.

Really good instructional – either as a standalone instructional just for passing guard alone or as a joint passing/Leglock instructional. Craig Jones teaches a really solid passing system, reinforces really good principles of misdirection and push pull, and then shows how it can be enhanced with the addition of leg attacks- he shows a handful of attacks that I found to be low risk, high reward. Full package. And can be applied even against opponents who play legs

Dynamic De La Riva Guard by Otavio Sousa
I remember watching highlights of his sweeps and wishing I could learn more details from then a few months later this came out. These sweeps can be done at all levels sense they don't require a lot of flexibility like most others. Great work!

Great review overall and takes the guessing game out of top pins. Gordon covers all areas of side mount and north south position. I work on getting better at the system and it has helped a ton in tournaments and training. Couldn’t recommend this instructional enough.

Watching this instructional was hands down the best thing I ever did for immediately improving my bjj game (both in and out of the gi) - both from the perspective of being able to much more easily pass guard, and being able to get into a stable mount on opponents, even much stronger than me.
