The Complete Guide To The Single Leg by Zack Esposito
I'll state the obvious by saying there's no shortage of instructionals on both BJJ Fanatics and Fanatic Wrestling that cover single leg takedowns, as well as thousands of videos on YouTube about single legs. I chose this particular instructional because I like the Oklahoma State style of wrestling, and I like Zack's teaching style. I've bought other wrestling instructionals, and what really stands out to me about Zack is his attention to detail as he's demonstrating a technique. He takes time to point out important details such as head position, where his weight is distributed, where he's gripping, footwork, etc. I also like how he's consistent throughout the whole instructional and repeats the same key points. He speaks slowly and clearly, so it's easy to understand him. I'm only a white belt in no-gi BJJ, but, in my opinion, if you're someone who is brand new to wrestling or isn't confident in your takedowns, learning the single leg is the way to go. I feel like trying techniques from this instructional on your training partners should be pretty low risk to you and them -- it's not like you're attempting upper body throws for the first time. With the exception of some of the techniques shown for finishing a single leg when you're on the mat, I'd say everything Zack teaches here transfers effectively from wrestling to BJJ.

This is a great find, some really interesting setups and good technical details... I like Joels style, a bit different from the average instructional, kind of like a surfer version of Andrew Wiltse. I am from a surfing heavy area of Australia and we have a lot of surfers who do BJJ, so I get understand their vibe... Be good to see more of his technique... Recommended... Cheers...

This series is mind-blowing. It is incredible how misunderstood and how flippantly kimuras are taught in modern BJJ. Danaher breaks down the mechanics to a point that you can immediately implement this into your game with almost minimal drilling. I can't recommend this series enough.

It is incredibly easy to find wrestling or BJJ instructionals, but this is the very first time I've seen both integrated together so seamlessly. Gary lays out a plan of attack that factors in what is rewarded and most effective at the highest levels - exposing and attacking the back, attacking the legs, and flying submissions that can end the match instantly. He is clearly very knowledgeable and you will never run out of content to drill with this series.
