Arm Drag Arsenal by Matt D'Aquino
When it comes to the stand-up game, there aren't many instructional that properly aid in enhancing one's wrestling and judo. As a BJJ Black Belt and Judo Brown, Matt D'Aquino Arm Drag Arsenal is one of the best takedown technique instructionals I have seen to date. Sensei Matt properly breaks down each technique that allows the learner to fully grasp the lesson's concept, allowing the individual to create their own personal takedown strategy of moves they already know. Anyone looking to level up their stand-up to get the advantage over your opponent, please, do yourself a favor and buy this instructional.

Deadly Wristlocks by Marcio Stambowsky
I had heard great things about Master Stambowsky from countless individuals that I have trained with. This was an eye opening experience of not only some lethal attacks/control through an individual's wrist, but the powerful teaching style Master Stambowsky demonstrates throughout the process. I have been trying to implement several of these positions/attacks into my training and have received some interesting reactions (to say the least) from my training partners. Awesome work with this instructional!

Fundamental Armbar Mechanics by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
Karel is a great teacher and really breaks down the key principles in a way that is easily understood. You'll find the use of the guards really expands the game you're able to play. Lastly, the details he gives on grip, subtle positional changes and breaking pressure will really change how you apply/control your submissions in training.

Ultimate Askren Wrestling by Ben Askren
Ben is amazing, his techniques work and the best thing about it is they are incredibly effective and efficient at the same time. His style of wrestling is very much based on timing, positioning and leverage which is a wonderful compliment to jiu jitsu. He is not trying to slam anyone, he is not trying to do anything but control, defend and take a guy down with as much efficiency as possible. Once they are down, they won't get up as we have seen. I have been a fan of Ben's for a long time and I bought this product because I had it before and lost it. He was good before his final run and he was good after it. It took something special to beat Ben in MMA and he did very well against Maia in the last fight. He could have won the fight like Cody Covington, Tyron Woodley and Kamaru by being boring and not risking anything. Instead, he did a great job of engaging and escaping about five solid submission attemps by Maia before making a mistake and paying for it. If you have seen a video of Maia rolling with black belts, you know that he takes them five times a five minutes. The funk techniques are really something special. As a grappler we are very lucky to have a free thinker like Ben who was largely self taught to show us some refreshing ideas.

Pressure Passing Mastery against Common Guards by Lucas Pinheiro
I have been following Lucas' career since his Black Belt debut at the Austin IO a few years ago. This past summer, I got the chance to roll with him. He had answers for all of my guards and I never felt a smaller guy with his kind of passing. It was a perfect pressure-mobile passing way. When I saw he had a DVD out, I purchased it the same day. I just finished volume 1 and cannot wait to make a few changes in my passing game. The devil's in the details. I highly recommend this for lighter weight instructors as well.

Cradle of Filth by Neil Melanson
This is no joke one of the best instructionals I have ever seen. I used the cradle with great success during my wrestling days and I knew there were applications of it in guard passing, but Coach Melanson takes it further than I ever imagined. If you're a top-game player who finds himself often in the Z-guard or butterfly, this will take your game to the next level. Also check out his leg lock series. It's gold for attacking the guard with leg locks.

Getting Swole As A Grappler by Gordon Ryan
The DVD demonstrates what it takes to put on muscle when you’re already burning though an immense amount of calories as a result of a strenuous training schedule. It also shows that you don’t need a complicated training regiment to put on muscle but a consistent and disciplined mindset. The nutrition advice is great because it’s also easy on the wallet and simple with an emphasis on meal prep. I highly recommend the DVD since it has a simple and direct approach. No matter what your training level, there’s good ideas here that we can all benefit from.
