Amazing series with in depth teaching.
The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
The teaching with examples is of the highest standard and makes it easy to understand. The only reason I didnt give it 5* was because I felt that the DVD's could be arranged in a different order to make a flow of learning easier. To be fair it's all there and I just had to skip DVD 3 until i got some of the other moves down. Might just be me though. Despite me being picky i would really recomed this buy.

Deadly Wristlocks by Marcio Stambowsky
Humble legend teaching you old school techniques that work in any BJJ scenario you might be interested in (competition, Gi, no-Gi, self-defense). Couldn't be better honestly. I had never seen a single one of these techniques ever demonstrated before.

The 50/50 Arm Passing System by Leo Vieira
I’m not going to write a huge long review but holy sh*t this passing system literally makes people sooo mad because you can just sit there and take your time and move only once they give you something. The amount of control you have in 50/50 arm is hilarious can’t wait to experiment more with this superpower of a position. Thanks Leo

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:What All Modern BJJ Instructionals Should Look Like
Double Sleeve Guard by Jonathan Thomas
I watch a lot of jiu-jitsu, both instructionals and competition footage. Through doing this for years now I've realized a few things: 1. Most instructionals, even those focused on specific positions, are just a bunch of quasi-random techniques that the instructor decided to show you that day. They rarely form a full game, dealing with opponent's options, your responses, etc. 2. Most of the techniques you are shown frequently do not correlate to what that instructor does when the competition clock is ticking. 3. The above instructionals also rarely deal in-depth with the minutia of control - the little details that can completely change the way the entire position functions. Guard instructionals rarely deal with real-time adjustments and the retention phase. Jon's instructional addresses the above 3 criticisms thoroughly - he presents a full double sleeve game mostly built upon spider guard, leg-past body double sleeve, and double sleeve DLR. Tiny limb-by-limb grip and control details are explained fully and typical retention ideas are also covered. The techniques and transitions are explained excellently, and the full picture what's going on in this position is pretty clear by the time you finish. Can't recommend this enough, along with following Jon's social media, YouTube, etc accounts as well for extra content - he's incredibly generous with his time and great jiu-jitsu ideas.

Foundations of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Bernardo Faria
Bernardo really seems to care as he explains typical problem areas and simple fixes. As someone who has less than 6 months of training, this is now my favorite instructional.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Good dvd
I like how they edit in clips of Hulk throwing actual opponents with the techniques he’s teaching. Also the music is hype.

General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
The longer I train, the more I appreciate learning concepts that I can apply in many situations. I'd say Wim's work is a great combination of concepts supplemented with specific situations that will give you a widely applicable set of tools that you can use in many scenarios. I'm still scratching the surface, as there is very deep stuff here.

Fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Escapes Gi & No Gi by Lachlan Giles
It's rare to find a person who can compete at a high level and can also provide instruction at a high level. Usually, the best competitors are not the best teachers and vice versa. Mr. Giles has a unique talent for identifying the important details and showing methods in a concise and easy to understand way. He finds a way to make the hardest moves and concepts simple. There are so many techniques that I've learned in bjj, I couldn't execute because I thought I was too inflexible, slow or unathletic. After watching Mr. GIles' videos I've realized that I was missing some key details... and suddenly the techniques started working. Lachlan Giles makes the best videos for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. I've learned so many of the basic bjj attacks, defenses and escapes, but I still pick up so much after watching his videos. Lachlan Giles is simply an amazing instructor! I'm making it a goal to one day train with you in person!

Passing the Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John Danaher has clearly established himself as the #1 grappling authority in the world. He is potentially the most important grappling philosopher of all time. Not only are his communications the most clear and detailed out there, he covers the whole range of issues underlying the grappling arts, from first principles, philosophical underpinnings, core concepts from all positions and situations, insights, tactics, mechanics, problems vs dilemmas, mental approach, analytical frameworks for decision making, relevant analogs, etc. No other grappling expert covers John's range. John is an expert in all grappling arts and focuses on the most effective set of techniques. He spends a considerable amount of time on these techniques and watching his videos are comparable to a Masters or PhD course on the relevant grappling topic. After absorbing one of John's series, one has effectively completed a course on the relevant subject and attained its essential body of knowledge from its best teacher. Even if one doe not aspire to be a proficient grappler, John's videos are the best resource for grappling analysts, enthusiasts, and parents who would like to help their children in their grappling development. HIs success as a coach, as evidenced by the results Gordon Ryan has attained in a relatively short period of time, as well as his contributions and innovations in the leg lock game are further testament to John's value. I have purchased his guard passing, back system, front headlock, and leg lock series. I would eventually like to see John create a series on grappling in the self defense context.
