Precise passing and dynamic sweeps for modern Jiu-Jitsu
The Lo Guard & Matrix Passing by Leandro Lo
The DVD is realitely short, but it covers the topics Leandro Lo is known for - dynamic passing and sweeping. I like how he just shows the technique and does not talk a whole lot. This DVD may not be suited for beginners who need explanations on guards like X-Guard, Lasso and Spider Guard and how to play these positions. Instead I think of it more as a quick and easy guide to passing modern guards and some sweeps from Leandro's unique guard style.

Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Covers in detail principals of halfguard
Response from BJJ Fanatics:+1::skin-tone-2:Good butterfly sweeps
How To Beat Bigger Guys: Guard by Bruno Malfacine
Bruno shows an excellent butterfly guard game focused on sweeps. I was a little disappointed that there was no special techniques or strategies mentioned for dealing with bigger guys, and the uke in the video is not a bigger guy. I feel this dvd could be more appropriately named "butterfly guard sweeps".
Solid
Closed Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher

How To Beat Bigger Guys: Guard by Bruno Malfacine
I've been watching this video, a little bit everyday. I haven't even finished watching all of it, and already the techniques I've learned so far have been helping my game a lot.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Neil is amongst my favorite
The Headhunter Guillotine Series by Neil Melanson
Neil is amongst my favorite grapplers to learn from. His style is nasty, his teaching is superb. Learning to control your opponent by their neck and head is a massive game changer. I highly recommend the headhunter series
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:great technique
Great instructional. Amazing submission that is really hard to escape, as proven by Tarik in so many competitions. A must buy for a cheap price. Tarik is great at explaining the various details as well.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great Jiu Jitsu
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
This is not your typical instructional with 40-75 static techniques from specific positions and grips. This is a conceptually applied idea not only to escapes from side control but to martial arts in general. It is a master class in controlling distance to allow for functional escapes while keeping your body in safe positions. This concept of the baby bridge and outside and inside shoulder escape is unlike other systems I’ve ever seen. I have just started playing with these concepts but can already feel the strength in these concepts. It is what great escape artists do but Wim has defined it and created some guidelines. Highly recommended.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great..
The Headhunter Guillotine Series by Neil Melanson
This is an amazing instructional, Neil explains and demonstrates things perfectly. Going to pick up the rest of his videos, his system is ideal for wrestlers transitioning into submission grappling.

No Gi Judo For Grapplers by Satoshi Ishii
It's not self-evident how to adapt Judo to function w/o a gi, but Satoshi has figured it out and gives some good help. I got a lot out of it, and enjoyed it.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Best spider guard instructional
Everyday Porrada Spider Guard by Romulo Barral
I have another spider guard instructional from another website. The person that gave the instructional is a multiple time world champ just like Romulo however this instructional(Romulo’s) is next level. It goes so much more in depth on the concepts that are important to retaining guard and troubleshooting opponents actions. Every technique shown involves the spider guard foot on biceps so it’s very relevant. 5 stars
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:This is a must
Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Solid concepts explained thoroughly by the mad scientist John Danaher. The amount of detail makes it well worth the buy. I am so much more comfortable with being on bottom now, definitely recommend for beginners to build a solid defense foundation.

Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
I've been studying this series for 1 day and have already learned so much about so many topics. You learn principles that can be applied everywhere and not just leg locks, but the leg locks are amazing as well. Highly recommended and I will be buying more from John Danaher!

General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
This instructionnal is great! Wim's concepts are easy to understand and already helped me improve my game. Like anything, it takes practice to master but when I manage to implement it, bjj becomes easy and my postures feel powerful. Wim is the only one I found that articulate clearly the mechanisms behind timing, connection and movements. It really helped me understand better the overall bjj game and I feel like I won't need much more fundamental instructionnals after that. I'm looking forward to his next videos!

Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
This series makes a systematic approach. John gives an overview of all the available techniques and focuses on most effective ones. Besides guard retention techniques I actually learn a lot about guard passes!!! I wish I had this series on my first year of training

Kimura Game just got BETTER
Kimura System by Marcelo Cohen
The price is right and you can’t go wrong. One thing you may notice: The red mats actually make it easier to see the moves. Just a color contrast but it works. He does a great job explaining it. It’s quick and to the point. Pricing is excellent. A private from Marcelo would be triple(my guess). Just Buy It - you’ll Thank me later.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:So much more than the Kimura!
Kimura: Enter The System by John Danaher
While this instructional is mostly about the kimura submission there is so much more to it. From this instructional my guard passing, guard retention, back takes, control, escapes, arm bars, and triangles have significantly improved. When I watch John Danaher's students compete I see them using these techniques. Which is awesome to know it not only works in my gym but on the competition mats.

Pressure Passing and Top Game by Rafael Lovato
Lovato Jr. Shows what he has learned and how he has refined his world class techniques to battle even the newest styles so you can work your way through every defense they have. This has paired with my game and turned me into something new. Absolutely brilliant.
One of the best guard passing DVD's there is.
Everyday Half Guard Destruction By Jason Hunt
I thought I was too dead set in my ways to be able to change my passing system. Jason's dvd added a bunch of new passing concepts to my game. He explains with great detail and although presented as a system, there are a bunch of techniques that can be integrated into whatever style passing you have. I guess you CAN teach an old dog.
Takedowns for Self Defense as Well.
No Gi Takedowns Made Easy by Rick Hawn
I love how some moves here are applicable to Street Self Defense. Rick Hawn is very knowledgeable and helps dissect the moves so a newbie in BJJ like me can follow the details to the takedowns. Highly recommended!!!

Some good gi knee bar attacks. If you like leg locks and want to be able to attack them in gi competition this would be a good addition to your technique library.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Ahead of its time
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
This is a truly unique instructional and way ahead of its time. While most jiu jiteros are stuck at the "technique vs. technique" mentality, Wim teaches movement instead of moves. Wim teaches also timing. Ever heard of "the right move at the wrong time is the wrong move" ? Well, that's exactly what makes the mirroring principle unique. You'll most likely spend years on the mat before you develope an intuitve understand of when to do what, or you can learn the mirroring principle and jump time.
craig jones
The Z Guard Encyclopedia by Craig Jones
the instructor is teaching the techniques very good its easy to understand
So Good
Systematically Attacking The Guard by Gordon Ryan
Excellent system. My guard passing was the best part of my game and it's gotten better. With the flow chart it's real easy to diagnose where you are getting stuck. I primarily do gi jiu jitsu and the principles translate, you just have to pay more attention to grips.
Continued Quality and Concepts
Protecting & Generating Dynamic Offense From The Turtle by Priit Mihkelson
I've purchased all of Priit's series on BJJFanatics. The concepts are invaluable in my opinion. The great thing is that they can be applied in training and fine tuned as you work with them over time.
Near perfect
Closed Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Danaher is , as always pretty much top notch. Mind blowing and highly applicable detail. Only thing I have missed is more attention to NoGi variation grips. When I purchase a Danaher closed guard DVD I would like to know that I got everything covered. Including the NoGi grip variation, especially with core techniques. Beside that, its pretty much a no brainer if you really care about your Jiujitsu knowledge and progress.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great Instruction but Maybe Not for Everyone
Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I appreciate the level of analysis that Danaher provides. So, I rated it 5 stars for what it provided me. Danaher spends about half of the video explaining fundamental concepts in great depth. For many people, understanding these concepts will help them learn the moves and adapt to them to novel situations. The strength of this video, and I assume this series, may be irrelevant to some players. I have noticed that some people don't absorb much of what they see and hear, and really don't "understand" these concepts until they do them. So, some BJJ players might want more of an "encyclopedia" of moves, than this level of analysis--something that will walk them through a lot of moves with less verbiage. Danaher obviously has a great BJJ mind and put great care into this product. The moves that are taught in this series and will benefit everyone, but you are also paying for the analysis, which you may or may not benefit from.
Thorough
High Percentage IBJJF Legal Footlocks by Mikey Musumeci
Great stuff!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Wim Deputter
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
Wow,phenomenal dvd set,i was expecting it to be good because i had seen Wims camp YouTube clips but this set has blown me away. I am a 10 plus years(purple belt) in bjj and this set along with Priits sets has totally changed my game and more importantly my understanding of BJJ. I recommend Wims set if you want to improve your bottom game greatly, the best thing is it is all about postures and not attributes driven so i could see this material working great for older grapplers. Anyway highly recommend, game changer, cheers James
