Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
The way Mr Danaher breaks down the details in both the concepts and the specific scenarios makes it so much easier to understand and improve guard retention. This course gave me quite a few new tools to begin utilizing and helped me better understand concepts I thought I knew. Awesome videos!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Shrimping is a waste of time
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
I knew this was going to be a quality instructional because I know about Wim (one of most important Bjj black belts in Europe, one of the best pressure passers today) but it was more than just good. His “mirroring principle” is common sensical but unique at the same time and his baby bridge, in conjunction with the mirror fighting, is a good reminder that shrimping in the traditional way will get you beat up both in tourneys and real life. If you’re new to Bjj, the mirroring principle will give you an efficient direction to go in every situation you will encounter. If you’re a seasoned black belt and want to stop giving up three points when your gaurd starts to die, then for sure watch. I imagine the best group to pick is up is (gonna sound random) wrestlers transitioning to Bjj or mma who do not want to waste time learning the overused and archaic Bjj escapes that rarely work in real competition. This instructional will not teach you to unlearn wrestling but, instead, maximize good wrestling in Bjj Self-defense and competition.

Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Absolutely loved this program. The way John teaches is perfect. You can see why he has so many high level competitors. He builds a framework for you so that you understand conceptually what is going on at every stage of an encounter, and then fills it in with details. It's the exact opposite of how most of us are taught - with techniques first and then concepts or broad strokes later. I'm super happy I got this program and it has already made a massive difference in my game. Highly recommend!

Leg Lock Anthology: 50/50 by Lachlan Giles
The early emphasis on the biomechanics of the leg really set the stage for this series. He even shows his tome of a master thesis on the leg which adds a ton of credibility. I especially enjoy the coaching of his demonstration partners on the techniques. For me, watching him walk them through and correcting mistakes gives a better understanding. Highly recommend.

Kimura System by Marcelo Cohen
Great instructional! Outstanding value! I am also a smaller practioner, so the emphasis on technique over strength has been helpful especially since I find myself getting kimura grips more often than I used as I progress through my jiujitsu journey.
