Amazing Technique
Timeless Mount by Rafael Lovato Sr.
Great fundamental details, I love Prof. Lovato's style. This is just a fraction of the excellent techniques from him, his seminars are great. I highly recommend attending any seminars you can with him.
Systematically Attacking From Top Pins Bundle Gordon Ryan
Systematically Attacking From Top Pins Bundle by Gordon Ryan
I’m 50, I Move Like a Fridge… and This Made Me Dangerous from Top Gordon Ryan’s Systematically Attacking From Top Pins Bundle might be the most battle-tested, pressure-cooker top game system you can find. As someone who's 50, not exactly doing cartwheels, and who prefers heavy pressure over speed, this bundle hit the sweet spot for my game. Gordon breaks down side control, mount, and other pin positions with surgical detail—and more importantly, he shows how to hold people down like their soul depends on staying under you. It's not just about pressure—it's about control, intentionality, and constantly forcing reactions that open up submissions. What I loved: He teaches you to cook your opponent and stay one step ahead, not just “hold and hope.” Every escape is shut down before it starts—seriously, it’s like watching a python slowly wrap up dinner. The transitions between pins and submissions are smooth, structured, and perfect for those of us who don’t rely on speed or flexibility. Tons of details that helped me get more taps just by fixing small adjustments in weight placement and timing. This bundle is ideal if you like the idea of becoming the guy no one wants under. I’m not flying around the mat anymore—but now I don’t have to. I just pin, pressure, and progress. Highly recommend if you’re looking to turn top control into a finishing system, not a resting spot.
One of the best half guard instructionals, EVER
The Ground Marshal Half Guard by Neil Melanson
I have watched an instructional or two in my day. This quite possibly might be the best one I've ever seen on the half guard. There is so much here to digest that I'll definitely revisit it quite a bit. There are numerous techniques in here that I will be going back to again and again. Highly reccomended.

Defensive Tactics In The guard by Neil Melanson
I love all of Neil Melanson's stuff, because of his ability to meld techniques and concepts from arts that are adjacent to BJJ, such as wrestling, catch wrestling, judo, Japanese jiu-jitsu, and I own eight of his tutorials. This one is not so much technique oriented; rather, it teaches you how to approach conceptually being in the top of someone's closed guard. I knew virtually everything in this tutorial already but for someone earlier in their BJJ journey, this material would be valuable.
Thorough presentation
Master The Move: The Anaconda Strangle by John Danaher
I did learn concepts and techniques from this presentation that I had not known previously. It's a bit verbose and repetitive, but overall, I liked it because it was presented in a logical manner, rigorously, with subsequent material predicated on the previous, and it had a number of valuable details, which often make all the difference between success and failure.

Conceptual understanding of one of the most basic techniques
Arm-Lock Series (Juji-Gatame) by Jimmy Pedro & Travis Stevens
I'm not a jiujiutero but a judoka and this video, basic as it may be, gives a better conceptual understanding of the armbar either when attacking the turtle position or when rolling out from under your opponent. It might seem basic for more advanced practitioners and maybe a bit thin for someone who want to master the armbar, but I believe that the concepts discussed and shown in this video gives a realistic approach that is more than useful for most grapplers.
