The Ultimate Path to the Rubber Guard by Jeremiah Vance
This approach to using rubber guard to get to a top position is really exciting and explained well. He addressed quite a few things (like getting stacked) that I struggle with and all the small details he explained cleared up a lot of holes in my understanding of the positions. SO PLEASED that the flytrap was included as I love trying to submit my training partners from a bad position instead of trying to get out - There was one detail that immediately fixed what I've been missing on that sub. Highly recommend!

If you are a white belt like me, it's important to understand grips because they'll help you initiate or prevent a lot of other things. I did not pay attention to grips for a couple of my first months of training but now I will, and it's best to start as earliest possible. This is the third instruction from Magid that I own and I like the way he teaches. Magid is a straightforward, honest, and fun guy from who you'll learn a lot.

I'm trying not to leave a bias review because I know Kyle Watson & have trained at his gym in the past. I dont want word spread that I'm trying to help him sell this instructional. Anyway, I'm just now getting around to viewing it all in it's entirety. I must say.. It's outstanding! I truelly believe Kyle has put together a easy to follow dvd set here. Some of it is more complicated to understand but that's Jiu Jitsu for ya. Kyle has a certain way of communicating his concepts to the viewers that make it all worth while. I mean for what it would cost you for a private lesson with him. I'm sure you will get more bang for your buck just buying the dvd. He knows his sh*t and breaks it down clearly for you with this dvd, no matter your belt rank. theres something in it for everyone!

I’ve watched the first and third vids a couple times already, and I’m getting a ton of good stuff. The highlights for me are the John Wayne sweep, the butterfly sweep, the Dog Fight sequences, and the Kimura sequences. Jordan teaches in a real simple style that I like. I got this one on a Daily Deal with a Black Friday discount, so it was hella cheap, and I feel like it’s already paid for itself.

I was pleasantly surprised by this instructional. Rich isn't a bjj celebrity, but he explains concepts that take years to master effortlessly, no pun intended. He has a fluidity to his movements that are impressive given his age; if I can move like him at 61, I'd be a happy man. I really enjoyed both the conceptual and move specific portions of this instructional. He provides the "why" clearly and concisely. I also like that he is incredibly humble and gives credit where it is due. I highly recommend this instructional.
