Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Being an older (60yrs) practitioner with lots of wear and tear from decades of martial arts, this series is one many people have encouraged me to get good at, for all the reasons Prof. Danaher explains. This instructional is brilliant in that it teaches the "why" as much as the "how". All the subtle details of body mechanics, positioning and timing are beautifully explained. From the standpoint of tactics and strategy, Prof Danaher explains all the likely responses that may occur if you're playing half guard or in someones half guard. Another aspect that I found useful is the explanations of why you "wouldn't do this or that". As a new practitioners some things are counter intuitive and I often find myself in an "oh s#@t" situation. I know I make a wrong move but not always sure why. This series explains all of those common scenarios with detail and clarity. I highly recommend it!

Power Back Takes by Dante Leon
I just watched a 100 lb female white belt strangle the absolute **** out of a purple belt literally twice her size using the techniques we worked on in this dvd. If there is one thing this dvd does well, it's demonstrate how to be persistent won't the back and how to maintain the position for as long as possible regardless of what the other person does to escape.

Fundamental Folkstyle Wrestling by Adam Wheeler
Awesome content. Adam specifically says in the beginning that this instructional is mainly intended for youth and high school wrestlers, but I found it very useful and informative as a 29 year old beginner wrestler. Adam does a great job walking through the techniques, but I do wish he showed some live speed demonstrations to show what the moves would look like at actual speed instead of just a walk through with no resistance whatsoever.
Unlocking the secrets of the mount position
Unlocking The Secrets Of The Mount Position by Pedro Sauer
Great details by Professor Pedro Sauer. He is not using strength to neutralize escape attempts but using leverage and small adjustments to make your mount solid and harder to escape. I was able to add this immediately to my game and it makes dealing with strong younger oppenents easier.
