Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Excellent Intro to Leglocks
Leglocks 101 by Charles Harriott
I was looking for a course that would ease me in to the leglock game without going straight into funky positions from all angles. If you're looking for simple, and understandable techniques for the most common leg attacks, this is for you. Additionally, I think Charles does a really great job in teaching you how to drill safely.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Excellent
The Brabo/Darce Evolution by Dave Porter
Very clear, concise and to the point. One of the things I appreciated about this instructional is the length for each segment. Because Dave is articulate and to the point his segments to drag on with any filler. You will learn the details for each technique and be able to move on to the next or go back without having to search and search for a key detail you're wanting to review. To the point!

Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
Not Craig's best instructional some of the moves listed were just jokes. Funny but I felt let down with the baby seal. The concepts in the video are invaluable though and the techniques are the direction jiujitsu seems to be heading. A few great concepts repeatedly explained.
Fantastic instructional for understanding the fundamentals and core concepts
The Modern Defensive Guard by Ryan Hall
Amazing instructional from Ryan!!! Best resource to truly understand WHY you're certain things and WHY they work (or perhaps force you to question whether what you're currently doing is actually helping you achieve your goals). Truly perspective broadening, and definitely changed my paradigm on how I approach the guard. Can't wait for his next one!

Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
Having a wrestling background, I love that Craig Jones is incorporating so much wrestling into jiu jitsu. So many of these positions are similar it identical to what I did in wrestling and be teaches them in a way that leads to submission rather than a wrestling pin. Incredible.

Mastering The Giggler Sweep by Sean Roberts
This instructional by Sean Roberts teaches the giggler sweep and its many variants. Additionally, some complementary techniques for the knee shield are also taught. This is a techniques based instructional for the half guard and has a total runtime of 1 hour and 42 minutes. Sean Roberts is clearly the giggler sweep expert. He takes the time to highlight the important details for each technique taught. Variations to the giggler sweep are taught, which respond to the opponent’s possible actions and ensures that the technique will work. Sean Roberts is easy to understand, he explains effectively and demonstrates clearly. He stays on point and there is no unnecessary banter. He is thorough in his teaching, often highlighting potential mistakes in the application of a technique and additionally the likely responses from the opponent as the technique is being applied. Technique demonstrations are repeated from different angles to the camera, so to ensure the viewer can see the important details and movements. The instructional has been filmed with a fixed camera. The quality of the video is good, as is the range and there are no notable issues with the microphone. The available previews are consistent with the whole instructional. A minor point, but ideally it would have been good if the lighting display on the speaker located in the rear right of the screen had either been moved out of frame or alternatively turned off. In summary, in my opinion if you are interested in improving your half guard or specifically interested in learning the giggler sweep in detail with its many variations you cannot go wrong with this instructional. While it is a very specific topic, it is a useful, efficient and effective technique to know. Additionally, the instructional includes several practical back takes. The next section of the review gives an overview of the content of this instructional, if this information interests you. Volume 1 – Includes the introduction and how to set up the giggler sweep from the knee shield. This includes the placement of your body (i.e., for the knee shield position) and details your leg positions, your first grip - how to control their sleeve, the position of your second grip on their belt and framing their arm inside your top leg. Volume 2 - Entries are initially taught from the knee shield with variances for when the opponent steps up the opposite leg, situations when they hesitate and don’t engage, and for situations where they appear to be aware of the technique and tilt themselves away from you. The next section of the instructional covers what to do after sweeping the opponent using the giggler 2.0 and teaches several passes and one back take trap option. A clever entry is taught where you have been sprawled on (e.g., a failed takedown) using the giggler sweep 2.0. An option is taught where you are using a lasso or the opponent attempts a leg weave to use the standard giggler sweep or where there is some hip separation to use a version where you move you hip into his hips (i.e., the grave digger). Sean Roberts revisits the basic giggler to show you how to deal with an opponent using their free hand to post or if you choose to use an underhook how to deal with the opponent responding with a whizzer. The giggler 3.0 is taught which is a bait and roll technique designed to trap more advanced players. A complementary technique to the knee shield is taught (i.e., backwards kick sweep) which involves initially pinning his top arm to your chest, using your other hand to grasp the cuff of the pants of his free leg and after pushing forward quickly with your knee shield to make room to insert your whole leg to enable you to place your foot on his stomach. To sweep, you continue to hold his leg cuff, extend your leg to push him over and come to top side control. A number of other complementary techniques for the knee shield including the lasso tilt sweep, utilising a lasso and the motion of the giggler; the push grip technique involves breaking the opponents grip of your GI using your top leg, stiff arming this arm across his body to gain access to the opponent’s back or if they move to half guard to move to the top position; lasso hand switch back take is similar to the previous technique but instead utilising either a lasso or half lasso to assist in gaining access to the opponent’s back; a lasso de la riva sweep to side control top for situations where the opponent steps up with the knee of the leg being controlled by your half guard hook. The final two techniques taught in Volume 2 includes a back take after the opponent has been swept by the giggler sweep, this is an advanced technique that involves an inversion and an outside lock down; and the final chapter of this volume shows you multiple ways to encourage the opponent to apply pressure into you or close the distance between your hips and their hips when you are in the giggler sweep position (i.e., so you can generate additional m

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Submissions Escapes by John Danaher
I'm on part 7 out of 8, and have some drilling to do to ingrain some of these, but already I'm getting subbed significantly less. The leg lock section in particular, which I haven't finished watching yet, has made a big impact. I used to be afraid of leg locks, and not really know how to escape, but now I'm letting people enter into my legs, and only really proficient leg lockers are submitting me.
