Learn from Josef
Tripod Passing: Beating Inside Position by Jozef Chen
It is a very unique concept and style of guard passing. This instructional is the most technical tripod pass instructional I’ve gone through.
Foot sweeps!
Foot Sweep Flo by Justin Flores
As an older Judo/BJJ practitioner I found this video series on foot sweeps to be an excellent tool added to my arsenal
Great instructional
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Mounted Pin Attacks - The 4x4 Mount System by John Danaher
I love all of the instructionals from John. This one changed my game from mount. It gives a clear system on how to attack a well defending opponent. The concepts are easy to remember even during live rolling and some of the simple details like lifting the head have been really effective. I used to prefer side control because of its stability, but after watching this dvd I find myself looking to attack from mount way more often.
An armbar from the most legendary author
An armbar from the most legendary author. Now it's very effective, and I need to know that.
Improved my game significantly
Kimura: Enter The System by John Danaher
You have to stay tuned to the wealth of knowledge and trust the method. It will improve your game and make you deadly.
Simple & Lethal Subs!
Gold Standard Gi Submissions by Joel Tudor
Joel nailed another instructional perfectly! No fancy terminology, and no dictionary needed to understand and immediately implement to your game. A breath of fresh air in a sea of content that takes a masters degree and amphetamines to understand and get through. Thank you Joel!
As advertised
Jiu Jitsu For Old Guys: Positional Escapes by Bernardo Faria
Bernardo keeps it simple. Nothing flashy. Just fundamentally strong and efficient. Highly recommend for older less athletic athletes.
Foot Sweep Flo
Foot Sweep Flo by Justin Flores
Purchased for an in depth look into applying sasae as a transitional tool on the feet and got exactly what I needed.
Trabsfirmative
The Running Man & The Baby Bridge: Essential Postures To Keep You Safe by Priit Mihkelson
I am in my first year of BJJ but with a lifetime of stand up martial arts. Two weeks of studying Priit's defensive positions and transitions has dramatically reduced the ability of my training partners to get submissions. This is excellent stuff for defence and survival on the mat. It does need offensive additions but for defence, it is excellent.
Ok...but could use more exercise demos
The Fundamentals of Power Lifting by Louie Simmons
I have an immense amount of respect for the late Louie Simmons and the Westside Barbell legacy. However, potential viewers should know that this series is primarily a deep-dive discussion. While the insights are valuable, only a few minutes are dedicated to exercise demonstrations. I would have liked to see more practical footage of Max Effort (ME) and Dynamic Effort (DE) sessions in action.
One of my go-to techniques
Championship Catch Wrestling: The Head and Arm Ride by Josh Barnett
This is an excellent instructional series. The head and arm ride has always been one of my go-to techniques, and Josh does a fantastic job breaking it down. He covers everything from the fine details of maintaining pressure to a wide variety of submission chains. Highly recommended for anyone looking to sharpen their top game.
Welcome to the Darce Side

Giving you Options
Toe Fold and Shin Locks by Joshua You
What really stands out is how he connects entries and setups, giving you options instead of isolated moves. It’s a smart resource for adding subtle but effective attacks to your game.
Valuable information

a new look at half guard
Half Guard Evolution: Old School To New School by Rodnei Barbosa
To be honest I want to be good at half guard so I have looked at a lot of half guard videos from a lot of teachers. This one has some interesting ideas that I have also seen with my other videos, like coyote guard sweep.

supplement to craig jones octopus info?
Octopus Guard Engineering by Adam Wardzinski
To be honest I'm still having trouble pulling off this octopus guard stuff, whether from wardzinski or craig jones. I am trying it but getting the moves fully functional is more in my future than my past. :) But it seems really cool though.
magic moves
Foot Sweeps, Ankle Picks and Tripods Engineering by Adam Wardzinski
These moves make you feel like a wizard, able to pull people from their feet to their knees with a simple safe efficient move. Some people are pretty resistant to it but one day I was just beating up a purple belt with these moves, sweeping him again and again. People have changed their behavior in front of me, I'll tell you that.

Learn from the pioneer on RDLR!
World Champion RDL Techniques by Andre Galvao
I actually bought this maybe two years ago when I was still quite new to Jujitsu and it was just too complicated for me as I now realise in hindsight that there were a lot of 'basic' movements with the hip positionings, sticky hooks, angles, rolls/inversions/bolos etc that needed to be at a reasonable level first before the RDLR can really be effective - otherwise there are a lot of things that can go against your 'plan' with a resisting opponent. However now being comfortable with the 'basics' and finally going through all these and with fresh eyes, there's so much really good detail and techniques in here covering multiple situations and positions and I'm actually pulling them off in class. Highly recommended!
Excellent
Foot Sweeps, Ankle Picks and Tripods Engineering by Adam Wardzinski
Very well explained, easy to apply on some of the moves I just started practicing yesterday! Highly recommended.
Great
High Percentage Gi Passes by Gordon Ryan
Great instructional, lots of game changing techniques to add to my game.
Jiu Jitsu for Old Guys: Guard Retention
Jiu-Jitsu For Old Guys: Guard Retention by Bernardo Faria
Content was presented in an easy to understand manner; guard retention using four moves. The four moves are explained and then put in context with a variety of scenarios. As an older grappler this video is very good for me because the four moves provided do not require flexibility or that much athleticism.
Great way to level up your guard game!
Don't Get Passed by Chris Wojcik
Tons of good concepts to both up your guard retention and be better defensively. As well as some great stuff for upping your offensive guard game.
Awsome
