Great details
Defensive Tactics In The guard by Neil Melanson
Neil Melanson never fails to deliver. In this instructional you will find a lot of ways to counter and nulify guard attacks, with a focus on posture and angles. There are not a lot of 'techniques' in here, but the principles and concepts that Neil shares will help you tremendously with escaping and passing the guard. And all delivered with the typical filthy Melanson sense of humour of course. Stay filthy!
Smooth, succinct, buzzsaw, efficient, no BS
Stopping The Buzzsaw by Andrew Wiltse
Andrew just gets to the point in a seamless way. Covers the practical details without getting lost in too much fluff. Practical and real world tested techniques. Highly recommended.
Really enjoying
Basics To Advanced: The Low Knee Shield by Aaron Benzrihem
Really enjoying this low knee shield dvd set. Aaron is a great instructor and gives a fantastic introduction, attacks and followed up by some common counters. Really preferring this over the high knee shield as I feel a lot less likely to be smashed with a leg weave
Excellent detail and instructional .
The Essential Shin To Shin System by Shawn Williams
Excellent detail and instructional .
Ethan is the best. That is all.
Loose Passing by Ethan Crelinsten
Ethan's instructionals are the most detailed and high level stuff I've seen on the internet. If you are a beginner this might not be for you but purple belt and above this, and his advanced passing is what you are looking for.
It really is more than my money's worth!
The Kimura System by Robson "Mau-Mau" Lima
Prof. Robson Lima's previous instructional is easy to understand and effective but thos one is also very simple and easy to understand but I am not done yet watching the tutorials. I can't wait to apply it tomorrow in training/rolling!

Jake is keeping catch alive in an amazing way. Buy his stuff!
Ultimate Flowchart
Ultimate Flowchart by Joel Bouhey
In my mind Jiu jitsu is a movement problem. This video gave me some new ideas that immediately helped me to move better on the mats. I've always said that submissions are easy to find, but isolating limbs is difficult. The more limbs one can invariably isolate the more submissions they will catch. Intelligent movement is how we isolate limbs. This series offers plenty of ideas that move one to those advantageous positions. one can never get to good connecting positions and attacks
Good stuff
Dynamic De La Riva Guard by Otavio Sousa

Now I want to wear red and stand in front of a bull.
Standing2Ground: Upper Body Takedowns by John Danaher
Hearing John Danaher consider Ageless Jiu Jitsu for someone 35 or up like right in the middle of me being 35 just made my whole year, I cannot wait to connect this third part in the Standing2Ground series with Ageless No-Gi Top Game.
Old School and Unconventional
Professor Sauer showcases several old school techniques for escaping/reversing side control, escaping Knee on Belly and surviving then escaping various mount positions. The techniques in this are a little more complex than perhaps most beginners are capable of, but there are still many great lessons to learn from this series. Once your elbow escape from all main pins is strong, testing yourself by trying out some of these escapes would be a wonderful training goal. The survival tips from mount and modified/technical mount are lifesavers. Put them into practice and opponents will struggle to submit you.
I love Grilled Chicken! (the guard retention system and the food!)
The Grilled Chicken Guard Retention System by Priit Mihkelson
I wish I could meet Priit Mihkelson in person to shake his hand for producing such a simple yet easy to understand video on guard retention - a system he calls "grilled chicken." Why TF did he name it that, you ask? Because whether sitting or on your back, the structure is similar to one of those grilled rotisserie chickens you get at the store - the headless grilled bird with its wings pulled up and tucked in close to its sides and its thighs flexed and externally rotated. The whole idea is to keep this structure when someone is trying to pass you. I was able to immediately implement this system with good results against same level people - higher belts can still pass me, but I am making progress. I love Lachlan Giles' ideas on guard retention, but at age 52, I found myself too inflexible to do a lot of that Gumby-like inversion stuff that Lachlan endorses (Priit also teaches inversion but his tips are more suited to a less flexible guy like me) - plus, I have started doing Yoga for BJJ app 10 minutes a day which has definitely helped. Anyway, I can't recommend this video highly enough. Well done, Priit! If I see you in the airport, I will buy you a beer!

You Can't Knee bahh by Craig Jones
being able to find knee bars through a heel hook era will link together a lot of good possibilities. I'm excited for this DVD usually you get a few knee bar bonuses but actually looking down the right avenue for technique will save you a lot of digging. I haven't got too far in this yet but so far it's gold
A Deadly System
Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
This series gives you an incredibly strong offensive guard to use against opponents from both good and bad situations. Invest time in every one of the half guard series taught by Professor Danaher and this guard will become a nightmare for training partners and opponents.

It's nice, but it's not as easy as it seems when you watch the DVD. It takes time and drilling to apply these techniques
Great half guard instructional!

Great half guard instructional! Good for playing guard on your back under pressure and against bigger opponents. Typically a bad spot, but you can use it to your advantage!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:fire:A Complex Skill Made Simple
Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
For those new to Jiu Jitsu, trying to understand guard retention can be difficult. Professor Danaher once again gives precise yet simple explanations to every aspect of this skill. There's a lot of content and applying it all in the training room will take time, but it will be time well spent.
An awesome tutorial
Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
An awesome tutorial. For an old guy like me, not very strong an not flexible at all, learning to stop and control my opponents in half guard was an absolute game changer. John Danaher is so methodical. I watched it and watched it again and learn new details each time.
