How to Become THAT ATHLETE with the Single
Winning Mat Wrestling by Nick Gwiazdowski
Always been a fan of Gwiz, he crushes this one. I think the simple focus on footwork and handwork is the key points he focuses on. this is especially good for kids who have trouble putting their knee down.

I'm a huge Danaher fan. I have watched all of his stuff. I questioned whether or not to buy this one as well, but of course, I learned new details on techniques I had already learned from his previous work. He is such an amazing instructor!

A must have for the closed guard player.
Closed Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
As usual, John explains in great detail the concepts and techniques behind the closed guard. His DVDs are so packed that it takes months (even years) to fully absorb them. After watching this DVD and applying some of the concepts in my training, the closed guard has become one of my favourite positions. Techniques such as the side scissor or the top lock are incredible techniques that everyone should have in their arsenal. This DVD has improved my closed guard for sure. Highly recommended!

Downscaled half guard and very good
Ageless Jiu Jitsu: Winning When You're Older or Less Athletic - Bottom Game by John Danaher
Its a downscale of Half-guard- but being older myself - in this course Danaher really impresses the way he put together things. You follow the course just as you practice - and add-on techniques and understanding of positions as you go on.. its really very well and simple presented. Videos not too long and down to the point with good explanation I think any person wanting to learn half-guard can benefit this as a "core". Not only older. Later - When you get older you already established the systematic way he shows. I could take the instructions right out to the mat and it really worked. I think the way the techniques are presented in a linear and very good way made this course one of the best i seen. A must for all older, stiffer or less athletic or less stronger. And those preparing for older days...This video is a gem for you. The survival tips - on how to survive pins - are really good and worked instantly. Best survival strategies i have encountered.. This video made me even more inspired about BJJ. Priceless video . More than highly recommended.
back kick
Combat Back Kicks by Edgars Skrivers
i like it
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Good Starting Video
Foundations of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Bernardo Faria
Good video for those in the first 6 months of BJJ. Obviously you can pick up a detail here and there but I feel like you have a much bigger impact if you are starting out.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Good
Mixed Martial Arts Fundamentals by Georges St-Pierre
The production quality is amazing. The best I've seen on this platform. A little effort goes a long way - No Darth Vader or bloopers. Gsp is a great coach. He explains the move, shows the move then breaks down the move. The video is very focused on takedowns but I wouldn't expect any less. It's very very basic. If you've done any striking this isnt for you. The same set of take downs are repeated for each entry and seemed like filler.
Great NoGi and Gi Darce Instructional
Welcome To The Darce-Side by Travis moore
Travis does a great job of breaking down each situation for application of the Darce Choke. I recommend this to anyone looking to learn or improve there Darce choke and situational awareness of when to apply the technique.

Down Under Leg Attacks by Craig Jones
Craig's early system is great for learning the overview of the leg game and relatively simple transitions/attacks. I think it's great for anyone who wants an easy reference for an effective system.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Your Upgrade Is Ready
Update Your Jiu Jitsu Software: A Study In The Evolution of Technique by Mark Cerrone
Really liked this set! The idea of BJJ as software that needs periodic upgrades was helpful, especially if you've been out of the game for several years. Mark refreshes your interface with some technical tweaks to basic moves and positions that will keep your mat program running smoothly.
White belts, this is the fundamentals you are looking for!
I have purchased several of the various fundamental instructional on BJJ Fanatics as I only attend class twice a week and wanted some options to supplement my training on off-days. For your money, I have to rate BJJ Basics by Travis Stevens as the best one. Travis Stevens not only covers all the basic positions, he start by explaining the fundamental concepts of what your goals are in a given position. Most other instructional focus on giving you a set of basic moves but don't go into teaching you the why behind what you are doing. Beginning to develop an understanding of the underlying concepts has drastically helped improve my BJJ practice. Travis Stevens is a John Danaher black belt and if you find his style of teaching useful I think you will get a lot out of this set. I have gotten a lot of value out of the other instructionals but if I had to pick only one for a desert island, this would be it!
Excellent instructional!
Under Pressure: Half Butterfly Mastery by Brian Glick
Great details on entry’s that I was previously unaware of. I really enjoyed the leg entries from bottom half butterfly… also the correlation to the clamp. Great stuff!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Amazing Video Well Worth The Purchase!!
The Fundamentals of Boxing by Teddy Atlas
I was hesitant at first if I should buy this video or another Teddy Atlas one, because I feel I have a great base of fundamentals already, but I decided to get this one and take the risk, and it did not disappoint at all!! I'm so glad I bought this one, so much great information, and Teddys insight of the fundamentals is absolutely amazing! definitely get this one first and then continue to gather the other videos like I am myself. Thank you!!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great addition to deep half
I've been doing deep half and waiter since Ryan's original deep half DVD set and this is a lot of great additional information for the position and sweep. As always Hall explains techniques very well and the instructional is very well organized. I would like to see more instructionals that do a deep dive into a specific technique.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:A Strong Point of View
Smush Proofing Your Jiu Jitsu by Chelsea Leah
When developing a game, I think a strong point of view creates clarity. Chelsea Leah does an excellent job of defining a specific strategy that follows a hierarchical process and is focused on maintaining and creating frames. Because the strategy is measurable in terms of worst, worse, bad, good, better, and best -- it is easier to evaluate and improve your position. In the end, I really liked the logical progression this video provided and I think it will improve my open guard, guard retention, and closed guard substantially.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:100% value. Game changing.
Buzzsaw Passing: Gi by Andrew Wiltse
So much content and so well thought out. I'm over 40 and was completely unathletic when I started BJJ a few years ago. In my first 6 months as a blue belt, I could hardly pass the other blue belts without getting exhausted or caught in their guards, swept, etc. Just by chance I saw Andrew's kneecut Buzzsaw passing on Youtube and tried it out in class! Lo and behold it was like magic in both Gi and No-Gi! All of a sudden I'm passing so much more easily when I start chaining the options together. If only I came by your videos earlier. This series is so good with so many straight-forward, no nonsense, easy to remember instructions. The problem with a lot of other instructors is that they show the ideal situations slowly, but they don't show it pressure tested, with resistance in a buzzsaw way. This is the beauty of Andrew's demonstrations. I love the ending outro and commentaries too. I'll keep coming back to these videos and revising to pick up the details for at least the next two years. Well done Andrew and keep up the energy!
Response from BJJ FanaticsAwesome! Keep working hard! :hugging:Excellent!!
