Habits For Highly Effective Jiu-Jitsu by Garry Tonon
I have been training BJJ for about 23 years and have to say this is one of the most impactful series I have seen. Garry goes beyond simple explanation of various techniques and goes into the why and how to execute the techniques can be set up and what he's looking to do from various positions. I own most of Mr. Tonon's sets, but I have never met him. Garry really seems to pass on the thought process on how to make your training partner move to set up the techniques. Don't expect a ton of new fancy techniques as Garry spends time on the how to set the moves up and when is the proper time to do certain moves. This set has an expectation that you know a lot of the basic moves and puts you in his head on how and when to execute them. Very impressive set.

I was lucky to attend a couple seminars where Braulio was exploring the Head of the Snake concept. A real game changer for positions that I thought I had a decent grasp of at the time, i found i had instant improvements.. I love the conceptual approach, as I find I'm also able to apply the lessons taught here to other positions as well new ones I'll be sure to learn in the future.

So I was excited to see he had put it all together in this instructional covering a wide base with the concept.. And i have not been disappointed! I love the conceptual approach, as I find I'm also able to apply the lessons taught here to other positions as well as new ones I'll be sure to learn in the future. Today i found in sparring. The instruction from Braulio is clear and engaging, the footage is well captured with multiple angles so you can see everything he is referring to clearly.Highly recommend!

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
The starting point to make your jiu-jitsu better. On the first day I could do the kepping escape on a light opponent, even though I am still suffering with the heavy ones kkkkk. But it worked! I do NOT feel anymore fear of trying new positions or risking to get submitted because I now know how to escape. I know the best ways to get out of a pin what to focus on, where to go and how to arrive there. Even though I still get submitted a lot everyday I know where i failed. Now it's just a question of getting better at it. Professor John Danaher, simply the best ever, not only for Gordon but for jiu-jitsu. Congrats on the video!
