Mikey’s course helped my guard a lot. His instruction is very straightforward, no fancy techniques, and the back takes are so good. Take your guard retention to the next level with this course!

The KTNA Side Control System by Ante Dzolic
This instructional presents material in a clear and digestible way that allows me to actually put the knowledge into skill on the mat. The organization makes it easy to study and view specific portions prior to training. I am looking forward to future instructionals from Ante Dzolic.

Feet To Floor Volume 2 by John Danaher
Professor Danaher has continued his excellent present of an oft neglected skill with this follow-up series. He painstakingly instructs with the much needed nuance that has become a hallmark of his approach to Jiu-jitsu and MMA. A true classic, in line with all of BJJ Fanatics offerings. Kudos, Know more, win more.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:The Complete Williams Guard
The Complete Williams Guard by Shawn Williams
This instructional is a hidden gem and has a lot more info than just the guard Shawn is famous for. Shawn got his black belt with John Danaher on the same day so if you like the DDS instructional Shawn’s detail teaching styles follows suit.

Truck The World by Geo Martinez
Great instructional
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Helped my game
Jeff Glover breaks down chokes with fine intricate details to help secure the finish. I learned a lot of specific details to fine tune a lot of my chokes. Jeff Glover does an excellent job of breaking down the chokes and providing drills for them. I'm not sure why more schools don't do these. We're just so focused on sweeps and passing the guard.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Valuable lessons from a world class guillotine master!
Mastering Guillotine Concepts and Principles by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
Pravec makes it look so easy but make no mistake these techniques have been battle tested on high level people! In this instructional you will learn more than guillotines. You will learn the entries and follow up attacks if your opponent defends well. In addition to that, I appreciate his willingness to answer questions via social media. He always takes the time to answer in detail and genuinely cares about helping me improve my game. It never ceases to amaze me that a nobody like me can get such personalized help from a teacher of teachers like Pravec.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Absolutely Killer.
Closed Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
For the Christmas season I went ahead and picked up several videos on Black Friday. Danaher's treatment of all of his videos is completely head and shoulders above the others. The other instructionals are good too (esp. Lachlan), don't get me wrong. But there's good, and then there's JD, and the guy is flying at a completely different altitude. The reason: he's a high level BB practitioner of course, but he's also able to decompose BJJ into systems & principles like nobody else - that's his secret black-belt level skill, and he's truly a master at it. To really put it over the top, he can actually communicate these concepts better than anyone as well. I'm dead convinced that this content will really level up my game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Indispensable
The guard Retention Anthology: Around and Under by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
I've been doing jiu jitsu for a year and a half. This sport caught me and I have studied a lot, but I can say that these videos have helped to improve my guard a lot. It is funny to see the face of purple belts with such difficulty to pass the guard to a white belt.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Increased awareness to the importance of grips
Judo Gripping Systems For BJJ by Fernando Yamasaki
I bought this DVD because smaller people in my gym we’re giving me trouble when it came to grips. This video has caused me to direct my training on grips. There are some gems (maybe basics-for some) on this DVD. Also, Fernando is very good at teaching the drills and explains the concept so well. I hope to see more from him in the future. I’m still lacking and have difficulty understanding grips in bottom position and in NOGI. Hope he can do one on those subjects.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very realistic
Classic Open Guard by Lucas Valente
The position in this instructional is very to the point and very easy to apply in live roles. I recommend it to anyone looking to open up their guard game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Armbars everywhere!
The Buchecha Arm Bar by Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida
This is a great instructional to dive deeper into the armbar. I love it.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:My favorite Hoodie
I bought the zipper hoodie and I love it. I have some nice hoodies but this has become my go to. It's a great color and the BJJFanatics logos on the front and the back are really high quality. It's like a stencilled on rubber paint. It's great. It has nice details such as on the side where there is a section with a different texture (same nice color). The fabric is good quality and on the heavier side. Because I like it so much I followed up by buying the t-shirt, which is also really nice, and then just recently I bought two more of the zipper hoodies. Going to put the two new zipper hoodies in my closet and break one out when this one eventually wears out (anything will eventually if you wear it enough). So yeah, I like it so much that I bought 3. My experience with BjjFanatics' store is that sometimes when they run out of stock with a clothing item they don't restock it, they just move on and introduce something new. That's part of the reason why I grabbed two more. Buy one before I buy the rest of their stock. jk

The Sit Up Guard by Daniel Gazoni
I enjoyed this instructional. Having trained for about 3 years and never played butterfly guard, this active butterfly he teaches scored me a sweep my first day in training. I didnt realize this was a version of the butterfly guard so that was an added bonus. Great dvd to watch over and over again and implement in class.

The Guard Passing Anthology: Half Guard by Lachlan Giles
Very thorough series. If you want to really understand the methodology and not just the mechanics you are studying then Lachlan’s videos are for you. The series also really does function as an anthology as you can easily problem solve positions you need to work on as the video structure makes it easy to find what you need to address. Highly recommended.

Full Guard Formula by James Booth
Great video !!! Let’s be honest from the beginning we are told to pull full guard but we all never learn what to really do next so in this video I have learned details on how to attack and a lot of small details I never knew and it’s made easy to understand and easy for a older none flexible person to do. I love this video !!!!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Best you can do for your BJJ
The Guard Retention Anthology: Through The Legs and Close Range by Lachlan Giles & Ariel Tabak
Lachlans and Ariels guard retention series "Around and Under" and "Through The Legs and Close Range" are the best and most helpful DVD series you can buy. After 4 Month of playing this system my guard game went from s*it to super anoying. Just a few days ago one of our brown belts told me that my guard is a pain in the a*s. It became actually really fun to play guard and see people desperately trying to pass. This in combination with keymaster to matrix to crab/bolo back is a game changer for me
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Decent Half Guard DVD
The Buchecha Half Guard by Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida
I'm a HUGGEE Fan of Buchecha and this Half Guard DVD has a lot of details. I highly recommend this DVD for beginner-intermediate levels.

One of the Best Pressure Passing DVD
The Buchecha Folding Pass by Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida
I'm a HuGGeee Fan of Buchecha and I believe this is the best DVD that he ever made. The way that he uses his pressure passing works at all levels. Essential DVD for the Big Bois and people who keep getting annoyed by tiny open guard players.

Great Half Guard DVD with a lot of details
Connected Reaction: Half Guard by Paul Schreiner
Great Half Guard DVD with a lot of details. Highly Recommended for those who like to play Half Guard a lot. Remember Jedi Mind trick is everything.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Make real improvements in your game !
Full Guard Formula by James Booth
Been training for a few years now and I really hit a wall at white belt, felt like my progression was stagnant. These moves helped me fine tune my guard play and make some serious improvements in my game! Not only was I able to make my guard more threatening and aggressive but I’ve also been hitting sweeps now on almost every roll. I HIGHLY recommend this video and I’m anxious to see what else I can learn from James Booth !
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Awesome series from a champion!
Closed Guard Arsenal: Sweeps & Back Takes by Giancarlo Bodoni
Giancarlo explains techniques with great precision and thought. A superb instructor both in person and in the videos!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Exceptional mix of the conceptual and practical
Fundamental Armbar Mechanics by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
SSilver Fox presents a great combination of concepts and practical details, all in their appropriate context. And, with all the experience of Roll with the Fox, he has refined his ability to transmit this knowledge exceptionally clearly in a video instructional. I am looking foward to bring his knowledge into my own training.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:John Danaher: Review
Arm Bars: Enter The System by John Danaher
John Danaher has an extremely methodical and thought-through style of teaching. I like how every step is broken down into specific goals: place your hand under X body part, turn your hips so that Y happens, etc. It's much more directed than something like "somehow get your leg to Z position", which is more how I learned it originally back in high school when I did judo. I like how John Danaher also breaks armbars down into speed-based versus control-based methods, which is an important distinction. I'm definitely happy with my purchase.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Thorough, clear and detailed instructions!!
Basics To Advanced: The Leg Drag by Aaron Benzrihem
Aaron has a great YouTube channel with lots of techniques, but I wanted to focus on leg drags so I picked up this set of 6 volumes. He’s a great instructor both in person and on his channel!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:There is a reason why Darculino has taught many champions.
Effective Old School Guard by Vinicius "Draculino" Magalhaes
I love how Draculino teaches! As an older Grappler, I follow the "Tried and True" techniques that last the test of time, that work on all body types and don't rely on physical attributes, especially when age starts to dimish your body's previous capabilities. Youth and athleticism allows you to get away with alot, but father time skips no one. Going back to the Old School proven techniques helps to keep up with the youngsters. Draculno's instruction is unmatched and his attention to detail is awesome. I wish he had more instructioinals available.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:If I could give it 10 stars, I would
Fundamental Armbar Mechanics by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec
I am 67 and am a shodan in judo, nidan in DanZan Ryu Jiu Jitsu and a blue belt in BJJ. I have been doing armbars for a long time, ever since I competed in sambo in the USSR when I was a teenager, and then in judo in the US. I love armbars. Still, I learned a ton of new materials, concepts, and approaches in Mr. Pravec's presentation. I also like his style of delivery. It also helps that his Uke is himself a very competent practitioner, himself a currently-competing BJJ black belt, and the two of them have practiced together for a long time, so they both know how to demonstrate something clearly. This material is a distillation of decades of training and is pure gold. I just bought Mr. Pravec's Guillotine instructional and look forward to learning from it as well.
