Fantastic ageless BJJ

I'm halfway through and love all that Danaher teaches. As a 43 year blue bell with back issue, his videos and training compliment my style.
Gold Nugget
Upper Body Takedowns For Grappling by Adam Wheeler
I was looking for a way to take down really strong opponents without shooting on their hips and getting underneath them. There is a big guy in my gym who always goes for my neck, and when I get tired, I slow down and he tends to go for neck cranks on me. So I was looking for a better way to take him down and keep my neck safe at the same time. I decided to try out this instructional, and it has been awesome! A lot of the moves he shows allow you to end up in better positions, and also set you up for attacking submissions. It opened up a whole new range of options from the upright standing position. In addition, I finally found a proper way to set up the arm-in guillotine! This instructional has been so helpful, and has nicely filled in some gaps in my game. Highly recommend!

Drill to win
Drill For Skill: Guillotines by Placido Santos
My first instruction from Placido. I almost never drilled, and I went to the "highest" level of this sport. I can say I like his way of teaching, and even if you have John's instructionals, it is a more than decent supplement to them. In contrast to John's, Placido gives smaller bites to work on and drill until perfection. Definitely going to get more from Placido drill series. Thanks mate really enjoyed this one and not done yet drilling 🙏

Refreshing
It was refreshing to see a conditioning coach teach how to manage your breath/heart rate and not emphasize going all out. This approach is sustainable and effective for both young and old grapplers alike.

Professor Danaher’s Front Headlock System is a Hit!
The Front Headlock System by John Danaher
I love this video. Professor Danaher always puts together his videos systematically, and this is no exception. What’s great about it is that it not only shows the mechanics of the various guillotines and Kata Gatames (seated, anaconda, and Darce? But also shows how to get into the front headlock in the first place. This has really upped my game. 2 things to think about; 1. Pay attention to the seated kata gatame, because since I’ve started using it I’m taking the back over and over when it doesn’t work, it’s gold. 2. Older grapplers like me (48 year old Purple Belt) would do well to combine this with Professor Danaher’s series on the front headlock in his Ageless Jiu Jitsu series, as between the two, you’ll get everything you need on this useful attacking series.
