Gold medal wrestling Henry cejudo
Gold Medal Wrestling by Henry Cejudo
As a judo player it is great to learn lower body takedowns which I don't have due to the rule changes. Thanks to videos from Henry Cejudo and John Danaher I have been able to hit some Double leg takedowns, singles and low singles in sparring 🙏

Closed Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John Danaher’s Closed Guard is a deep dive into one of BJJ’s most classic positions, presented with his signature systematic approach. He focuses on controlling posture, breaking alignment, and creating layered threats that keep opponents constantly defending. The material blends conceptual principles with precise step-by-step techniques, making it equally useful for building a game plan or sharpening existing attacks. As with all Danaher instructionals, the pacing is slow but packed with detail, rewarding patient study. It’s an excellent resource for anyone who wants to make their closed guard a dangerous, structured, and reliable position.

Passing the Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John Danaher’s Passing the Guard offers a highly structured system for dismantling opponents’ guards with precision and control. He emphasizes concepts like controlling distance, breaking alignment, and applying constant pressure before introducing specific passes for different guard types. The instruction is deliberate and detail-heavy, making it perfect for those who want to deeply understand the mechanics rather than just collect techniques. While the pace may feel slow for some, the clarity and logic of the system make it a resource you can revisit for years. It’s a comprehensive guide to turning guard passing into a methodical, high-percentage process.

Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John Danaher’s Guard Retention & Recovery is a methodical, concept-driven breakdown of how to maintain and recover guard against skilled passers. He focuses on key principles—distance, alignment, and layered defenses—before moving into specific recoveries for common passing situations. The pacing is slow and analytical, which makes it ideal for students who enjoy understanding the “why” behind every movement. While beginners might find the depth overwhelming, it’s an invaluable long-term reference for serious practitioners. Overall, it’s a masterclass in turning guard retention into a structured, repeatable skill.

Solid Selection of Lasso Guard Techniques
I prefer this type of instruction compared to a kitchen sink-style tutorial. Robson Moura lays the foundation for your success without overwhelming you with quantity. Three sections address common problems that are encountered, often predicated on leg position. By watching this, you'll gain an appreciation for Moura's creativity; however, you'll still have room to make the position your own.
A Solid Combination of Lasso Techniques
This instruction is divided into three sections with approximately five techniques per section. I'm not a huge fan of kitchen sink tutorials; I prefer having a nice base that puts you in the situation of being able to troubleshoot reactions that you run into. That's what Robson Moura does here. You get the base position with some of the most common situations. In the end, it is enough without overloading your brain with thousands of details. It's also nice that you get to see a unique flavor of BJJ that illustrates the creativity of Mr. Moura.

Great Techniques!
Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
I have had great success in the gym using these techniques, especially leg riding and the handcuff. Crab hooks are fantastic additions to a smash pass. Love the humor, too. Would highly recommend this series from Craig Jones. There are some who say these techniques are unorthodox or do not score points, but that’s missing the point, because they are meant to supplement your game, not overhaul it.
Great info on a unique technique
Craig Jones Mini Product The Reach Around AKA Octopus Guard by Craig Jones
