Concepts Based Instructional
Understanding The Distance From Guard by Gui Mendes
As a beginner, I found this instructional very informative and useful. I’ll be watching it several more times as my training progresses. Mendes focuses on teaching some of his concepts about how he perceives various distances between him and an opponent and the approaches he takes from each distance. This is also a great introduction to the De La Riva guard for anyone who isn’t familiar with that yet.
