To de-load, or not to de-load, that is the question
Weight Training For Grappling by Michael Israetel
"Mike Israetel's video on strength training for jiu-jitsu is excellent. He delivers actionable advice with humor, making it easy to digest. At 52, and juggling a demanding jiu-jitsu and strength schedule, his section on deloading was a game-changer for me. The practical insights into preventing burnout are invaluable. Now, the real challenge is sticking to the deload and resisting live rolling! Highly recommended for any jiu-jitsu athlete seeking sustainable strength gains.
Mounted Attacks gameplan
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Mounted Pin Attacks - The 4x4 Mount System by John Danaher
This video lays out an extremely insightful path to submissions from mount. You begin by learning how to control your opponent, then learn how to isolate arms, and eventually get the submission. I will say that I valued the lessons on control more than submission since his triangle and arm bar instructional already covered the details.
Highly NEEDED this instructional!!!
The Modern 50/50 Guard by Patrick Gaudio
I lost a Superfight a few months ago. I got caught in a Heel Hook from 50/50!!! I knew 50/50 has been a weak point in my game for a while. I wish I had this instructional a month before that Superfight. But, at least now, I have improved my 50/50 game a lot... Hugely due to this instructional!!!
