The best leglock intro, ever
Leglocks 101 by Charles Harriott
I attended a class by Charles at a Globetrotter camp, which impressed me so much I brought him to my club for a few seminars and my own Artemis BJJ camps. Once this instructional came out, I bought it immediately. Since then, it has been the foundation of how I teach leglocks. So if you're looking for an articulate, concise and safe introduction to leglocks, look no further. Leglocks 101 is the gold standard.
Priceless
First Principles: Back Mount by Stephen Whittier
This makes having your back taken fun. The Rickson details about head movement and getting power from the ground thru your legs are worth the price alone.
Second to none
Strangles & Turtle Breakdowns: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Danahers instructionals are the standard by which all others should be judged. Is it worth it? That depends on how important it is for you to be good at Gi chokes. The details here will accelerate your submission game in the Gi by years. Highly recommend this.
Liked it
This is a good instructional, but I don't think it's a complete bottom game system. It covers escaping turtle, 4-point, and Rear Body Lock, along with Wrestling-Up, really well. It also covers B-Teams general philosophy which was interesting. Then their was the guard the video covered. Reverse Z Guard was interesting and seemed useful, but it's an interesting choice of guard and seemed to be specific to being body lock passed, there was also the issue of if your opponent knows what it is they can stifle you as you're trying to set-up Reverse-Z. Overall, great video I just felt the guard section was a little thin, would have hoped to have had one more type of guard covered, but I do understand that potentially takes another instructional idea away from Craig.
