best advises on half guard top
How To Kill The Half Guard Encyclopedia by Bernardo Faria
This is one of the most useful instructional I ever watched. Professor Faria is one of the best half guard player ever and he's giving you the keys to pass his guard. throug experience, he understood what it really bothered him on the bottom, and being a clever fighter he studied all the details. the case of the "thumb in" pass is e perfect example (technique 2). on the other hand, it's not a "how I pass the guard" video - but "what bothered me". it means that he shows also a lot of techniques "out of his game" but he had to face in competition. recommended.
A different and powerful set of skills
The Power Shoulder Trap: Gi and No Gi Fundamentals by Waldo Zapata
If you have already seen a bunch of instructionals and know the standard set of skills, then "The Power Shoulder Trap" will blow your mind. It's a unique and powerful approach to controling your opponent. If you haven't seen a bunch of instructionals already, it won't blow your mind (you'll have no basis for comparison) but you will find a great skill set here.
