Excellent
Fundamental Folkstyle Wrestling by Adam Wheeler
As a white belt in bjj I wanted to learn some wrestling and grabbed my brother who wrestled for a season in high school for now. And it's good to say we both learned something just after the first volume. After repetitions and going thru the motions now I feel confident in going for a takedown.
Great Open Guard Details!

If you have been training for awhile and ever purchased any of Lovato's older instructionals and liked them you'll like this one as well. You can see how he has refined and streamlined his game compared to his earlier instructionals. Lots of great details for open guard players!

This course is a must! There are truly important concepts that are no longer used, but they should! It helped me a lot to understand that everything I am doing is totally wrong!
Please don’t buy this instructional ! 🤣
The Gregorian Lapel Submissions System by Greg Hamilton
The less people that know about this stuff, the better for me As a life long martial artist and an older grappler, I’m always looking for force multipliers. The lapel is a force multiplier. I’ve been building my own game with innovative lapel attacks and chokes. But this Instructional is amazing. A game changer. Maybe the most important instructional I’ve seen. And the level of detail and instruction is superb. Greg is a fantastic explainer of the how and why. I highly recommend this. Just DO NOT buy it. Please.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Open Guard The two Foundations Of Guard Play by John Danaher
This instructional has elevated my open guard game tremendously. Grab some good training partners and drill the concepts, then be creative within your rolls. It's amazing the dilemmas you can create with what is taught here.
Master class in grips
A true master class in grips. Making and breaking. Shot well & clear instruction From day one my grip strength was my unfair advantage ( as a tradie off of the mats ). I had the bad habit of hold on to dead end grips for to long. This instructional has helped me understand making and breaking grips in gi & no gi. Not just how but why. Much recommended for everyone with at lest one hand
Cream of the crop. Fun to drill. A pleasure to sub with.
Assassin Choke by Baret Yoshida
I got a-bit nervous on the first clip. o no. With after bad angle choice. After that point it just gets better and better. Well shot, multiple angles to fine tune your technic. Baret Yoshida is a fantastic teacher. To the point instruction. Fun to drill. A pleasure to sub with.
Great teacher and to the point
Octopus With Pajamas by Eduardo Telles
Shot well, clear intentions and to the point. I attended one of Telles’ seminars in person as a while belt and remembered about 2%. But being able to come back to this instructional has helped. Would definitely do both now. Having a load of counters making it fun to drill with teammates. Short but sweet
Great for low energy low respect subs

The Coyote Half Guard by Lucas Leite
One of the all time classics!
So so good
Art of Death Passing by Matt Darcy
This is easily one of my favorite instructionals. Matt Darcy is an underrated instructor. The system he teaches here is holistic in that it bridges entries to finishes. I love the concept of splitting legs and pinning them and from there moving on to finishes. He shows many different entries that ultimately pins/splits the legs. On top of that he shares some gems that I've yet to see elsewhere such as the hidden collar system and the grips for the back take. I can't say enough about this instructional. The moves are clearly demonstrated from different angles - you can tell the quality in production of the videos. Buy this instructional - you won't be disappointed.
Descent for a start
Closed Guard Domination by Tom DeBlass
This is not a bad instructional, but I wish It mentioned how it is pretty basic. There aren't really any techniques I don't feel like I haven't seen on youtube or could have picked up in the gym. If you want to learn closed guard I guess this is as good a spot as any, but if it was going to be this kind of more common stuff I wish he at least made it an organized step by step system like some other instructors do.
