Combat Sports Ground and Pound by Mick Hall
I like his system of gnp. He focuses on controlling before unleashing punches. Very similar to what the Team Khabib guys do in regards to emphasizing control and pins to reduce your opponent’s defenses. I can this becoming the new evolution of ground of pound
I highly recommend this instructional.
Diamond Concept: The Diamond Guard Frame, Shield, Elegant, Pedal by Xande Ribeiro
I highly recommend this instructional. It is very simple but effective guard retention. You don’t need to learn fancy inversions movements. If you’re someone with poor flexibility or don’t want neck issues that come from inversions then this is for you. Xande’s guard was unpassable for this very reason.
I appreciate the level of
Systematically Attacking The Guard by Gordon Ryan
I appreciate the level of detail that pulls it all together
This has helped my escapes
Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
This has helped my escapes tremendously. I’m a blue belt but I wanted to polish my defense. Learning these escapes and having confidence in them has changed my game. I feel more confident in taking risks and going for submission without the fear of getting smashed all round.
Nice
Nicky Rod's Slay the Hand Fight: Offensive and & Counter Offensive Hand Fighting by Nick Rodriguez
Bought this as soon as I saw it. One of the biggest obstacles for me in learning to do standup was handfighting. There's always so much going on at once it can be hard to understand what's happening. Nicky does a great job of breaking things down for people that have no experience with standup, and I'd also imagine that more experienced grapplers could benefit from this dvd too. I definitely recommend!
Very comprehensive instructional of the
The Lockdown Blueprint by Tom DeBlass

Excellent

Gordon delivers once again. So much depth and always explains every detail and possible scenario. This compliments Danaher’s back attacks and Gordon’s back attack video.

Attacks, Counter and Feints for MMA by Randy Steinke
Excellent and systematic video for implementing feints to your game. It’s a system that builds off from the initial attack you start with. The instruction is clear and the camera angles are great. The technique is showed multiple times so you can make sure you grasp it.

a lot of good Concepts using Brazilian jiu-jitsu for self-defense and there is alot of Cool situations and scenarios that he goes over
Make takedowns great again
Standing2Ground: Takedowns & Standing Skills For Jiu Jitsu by John Danaher
Especially the preliminaries are awesome. Coming from a country where access to good wrestling coaches is rare information on line of defenses in your stance etc are pure gold. Employing these makes it already 10 times harder for your opponent to throw you.
Fresh take on turtle
In summary this video is an Australian man teaching 2 young guys how to wrestle which is either the tag line for a BJJ instructional or more illicit material. This is the first time I've seen an instructional teach you how to "do something" and then how to "defeat it" so thats pretty cool. The first third of the instruction is how to get to turtle and stand up from there. I kind of balked at how simple the philosophy and techniques are, but after a few weeks of experimenting i'm finding myself easily standing up against more advanced guys in the gym. The last 2/3rds of the instructional is Craig's ideas for stopping someone from standing up. Even if they're not trying to stand up you'll learn brutal ground control tactics that you'll never get from the fat sloppy instructor at your school. If I have one criticism its that Craig doesn't demonstrate enough its that he talks 2 Ukes through the techniques which is interesting at times, but I do want to see him perform the techniques. Ultimately I feel like this instructional bridges some gaps between power bottom and power rides and its another quality effort from #fuckcraigjones.

It's very detailed, easy to understand, and shows what to do in each situation. Coach Giles also goes over every possible situation and ways to handle that situation and back up plans to handle that situation. Coach explains everything in a way that anyone can understand and then use to help their game.

Already awesome
Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I haven't been doing bjj for long (12 weeks) but before I even started I was watching and listening to a couple of Danaher's instructionals to hit the ground running. Still felt like I knew basically nothing day one, but don't let that detract you! I started with guard retention and pin escapes, which as I now understand are the hardest parts of bjj to begin with. I was the only white belt in my gym so it was difficult to see how much I was improving, but after going on holiday and training briefly at a bigger gym in another country, turns out that I was much better than I thought and I credit a lot of it to these videos. I can already give early blue belts a hard time, and most white belts can't even compete with me, even those who have been doing it quite bit longer than I have. After diving into the half guard instructional recently, I've barely scratched the surface and it has already made my game so much better. I'm taking my time with these instructionals and find myself going back to lessons over and over again. Every detail Danaher gives is crucial. It's easy to forget or ignore details, even on moves that seem so simple, but every time I have difficulty implementing a move I go back to the section and every time I have an "aha!" moment that fixes my issue. Anyways, this video is great, and the more you practice and internalize the information, the more dangerous you'll be for sure. Take it with a grain of salt because I'm a white belt nooblette after all, but its helped me a ton!
Amazing Reverse Half Guard Instructional
The Pitel Reverse Half Guard by Bernardo Pitel
B. P. first is showing sweeps and follow ups to mount and back posltion. Than he shows some submissions either from reverse half guard position itself or after the transition to mount or back pisition. He also offers good kneebar defense. He first shows every technique of a bunch of angles and than guide you through every technique by explaining every step he is executing. Also from a bunch of angles. Highly recommend!
Lovely

Standing2Ground: Upper Body Takedowns by John Danaher
