Connected Reaction: Half Guard by Paul Schreiner
Paul Schreiner is the best instructor on BJJ Fanatics in my opinion and his videos are well worth the money. His videos are easily digestible, although the material is covered in great detail. I mainly studied this half guard video while I had a knee injury and it kept me on the mat training comfortably. My half guard game improved significantly even though I was injured and even after surgery I kept using this half guard system to train safely while my knee recovered. I highly recommend this video.
Very detailed video.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Closed Guard - Building a Complete Closed Guard System by John Danaher

Simple and to the point
Passing, Back Takes & Finishes by JT Torres
JT sticks to the basics in this passing video and doesn't overcomplicate things. He keeps things simple but also gives you the needed details and reasons behind each technique. I first viewed this video when I was a purple belt and it helped my passing game tremendously. I already liked the X-pass, but this video gave me more variations and reactions from there.
Must have!

Solid
Down to earth guy with some solid leglock techniques. Good conceptually without too much in depth with regards to control or breaking mechanics.
Great instructional!
Modern Reverse De La Riva by Jason Rau
Great instructional!
Lapel and gi control, love it!
I enjoy controlling and submitting people with the lapel, using the gi as part of my game, there is a lot of slowing down your training partner and controlling their movement.
I didn’t know what to
Seated Solutions by Jon Satava
I didn’t know what to expect but bought based on the title. Some good contents and interesting details. Enough details to make the techniques executable without overwhelming with detail.
Weightlifting and nutrition from two champions!
Getting Swole As A Grappler by Gordon Ryan
What I found most interesting was: Their use of high reps and variation in tempo / grips / exercises. Also their approach to cutting weight slowly rather than cutting water weight makes a lot of sense (especially to an ex-wrestler!). The nutrition and supplements discussion was fairly straightforward, but the practical advice on meal prep is always a good reminder that you get better food for less $ by investing a bit of time. I’ve been weightlifting for decades, was a college wrestler, and was trained in olympic-style weightlifting by a national coach, but even with that background, I learned some useful things. Also it satisfies one’s curiosity to see behind the scenes what might be contributing to Gordon Ryan’s incredible success. Well worth the price to learn from two world class athletes.
John Danaher leg locks
Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher

Fantastic System
The Blackout Hybrid Pin and Cradle System by David Petrone
This instructional is a great dive into a rarely covered position in the BJJ space. It blends wrestling into BJJ very well and helps create that edge in your game with a position many grapplers aren't spending time in. Dave is a detailed teacher without being too wordy and his system is expansive and versatile. Heavy recommend.

Game changing
Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
We don’t really study leg attacks at my gym so I took it upon myself to round out my game. This video did that and more. My leg entry’s have completely opened up my mind in terms to how I think about open guard. I catch people who I shouldn’t (brown belts and some black) with things I’ve learned from this video series. It’s core, principled, strategy and theory. I highly recommend.

Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
Good instructional. Get it on sale. Harder then you would think to keep strong guys legs split. Craig jones had a longer body and also very strong seems very easy for him when you watch haha. Good techniques taught in this though would recommend for mma
I had been taught a
I had been taught a lot of chokes using the lapel, and those are fine, I actually love them, but I wanted some go to techniques in situations where my normal training partners would suspect my typical lapel choke and defend, focus on the choke they see on the horizon and leave other options open for attack, first attempt at the trap side arm bar was a success!
Details, details, details
Systematically Attacking The Guard: Half Guard Passing by Gordon Ryan
This is a thesis in half guard passing. Too much to absorb only watching once. Some good techniques to implement quickly.

Make closed guard great again
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Closed Guard - Building a Complete Closed Guard System by John Danaher
If you have the material from his fundamental closed guard video then you have a good portion of this no-gi video already.. but that missing portion makes all the difference with your game. I dont know how he does it but learning from John will pay dividends.

C.J. delivers a great instructional
C.J. delivers a great instructional about guard passing. The overall approach is to guide the game from the very beginning. Force positional transitions and that is where you catch the hit. Concepts of fatique the opponent and pressure are leading through this instructional. And of corse movement. In out and around and again until you hit it. Highly recommend!
