Excellent instructional
The Cowcatcher by Neil Melanson
You really cannot go wrong buying Neil's instructionals, one of the reasons why I continue to purchase his videos is his focus on the WHY, with the techniques being part of a larger picture focusing on strategy and tactics. The cowcatcher is a brilliant example of this kind of approach, allowing to attack the front headlock/snap down style submissions whilst ensuring that I am always in position to win the scramble and remain on top.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Easy to implement, gi and no gi
The Daisy Fresh Knee Slice by Andrew Wiltse
Since watching this, the knee slice has become my go-to passing system at the gym. I’ve successfully applied these principles both in no-gi and with the gi. Good stuff!

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Closed Guard - Building a Complete Closed Guard System by John Danaher
Same as always. John and Gordon’s stuff is excellent. I have been able to get a lot out of both videos on the same subject.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very nice!
The Secrets To Power Striking by Liam Harrison
I especially enjoyed the 3rd Volume about improving punches and kicks. These are the basics, but with attention to details, which is very interesting to watch. I personally think the DVD should be reversed and start with Vol 3.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great mainframe wrist lock guide
Wrist Locks From Everywhere by Travis Stevens
Some good wrist locks from different positions - mostly from topside. Mr Stevens keeps the instructional moving at a fast pace. Would like to have a bit more detail on some of the moves but still an effective instructional for developing my wrist lock game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Amazing addition to our passing arsenals
Systematically Attacking The Guard 2.0 by Gordon Ryan
After Half Guard Passing this one seemed like a breeze to get through, as its much shorter, however all of the information is amazing as usual. The concept of 'Camping' for long periods of time is going to be a game changer. This is an brilliant system and Gordon once again uses his insane memory to cover all the possible areas that can come up in live training.

Stopping The Buzzsaw by Andrew Wiltse
This instructional is clear, precise, entertaining, and made huge improvements for my guard. The grip fighting sections alone are worth the money. Excellent product.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Practice Rolling to their back
Rolling Back Take by Joel Bouhey
I've reviewed 2 other videos of Joel's this one is similar in presentation. Joel does not spend endless amounts of time talking. He explains the techniques, he demonstrates and shows you drills to use to practice. This is very pragmatic, quick, down and dirty. There is no wasted time. You immediately get into the technique. My favorite way to make use of the video is to throw it on 2x speed, pull out the grappling ***** and practice along side Joel as he presents the material. I enjoyed the material. Who wouldn't want to improve their ability to roll and do back takes?
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Well made, but not my
Ultimate Flowchart by Joel Bouhey
Well made, but not my cup of tea. Realised that it's best to come up with my own flowchart, more suitable to your body type, speed, bjj style. Well made though and I am sure some people will find it useful. Videos well made.
Danaher as always delivers great content
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
This is my third video of the series. Love it. Instructions are clear and I personally am a fan of long and wordy examples and principles described by Danaher. I am at the level when I need to work on details and I am aware of their importance. Danaher delivers on that. He is a great teacher. Kipping escapes are fun and going straight to attack from defending bad position is quite obvious and clear concept now.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Shoulder Pin - Floating Pin - Sean Williams Guard - Whatever you want to call it - Super Useful
The Shoulder Pin Guard System by Neil Melanson
I originally started studying this way of holding people in their guard when I first came across the Sean Williams Guard, then I believe I heard John Danaher call it a floating pin, whatever you call it, I specifically sought out another description of the position so I could try to make a real study of it for myself. Happily I came across Neil's material. I currently own like 4 videos by Neil. Couple things first Neil is funny & a very good instructor, it's very clear when you listen to him present that he knows what he's talking about and he's very good at explaining it, he's very pragmatic. What's useful about Neil's way of grappling is it's not traditional in the sense that most of us that practice BJJ are necessarily exposed to. What's useful about the way Neil does this guard is that it's so unorthodox compared to what most of us are used to. It puts us in the position where we have to think outside the Jiujitsu box. You can see a Catch influence because us BJJ have a bias towards returning to guard in certain situations whereas wrestlers and catch have the bias towards standing up. I would recommend by itself Neil's material. I also recommend you compare and contrast it to other similar guard positions. Make a real study of it. From what I can tell based on what I've reviewed of Neil's I would confidently recommend it to anyone. He knows what he's talking about and he's very practical.

Genuine Study of the Shoulder Trap
The Power Shoulder Trap: Gi and No Gi Fundamentals by Waldo Zapata
When I first started in Jiujitsu years ago we would make use of the shoulder trap, we just didn't have a name for it. What's very cool about what Waldo has done is he not only names it but he makes a real study of it. He actually sat down and mapped out all these things that you can do with a shoulder trap. It's very useful. You can sit down, play the video, and pause it after each technique then replicate on a partner or grappling *****, when you become familiar with the material you can then 2x the speed and use the video as a type of training partner as you work on the grappling ***** along side Waldo. Very useful stuff. Waldo does NOT waste any time. He breaks into the material, explains it, and demonstrates it. If Waldo does more material in the future, I'll be sure to watch.
Response from BJJ FanaticsThanks for your review! And yes, he has more videos on our store. Go check them out!Straight to the point
The Falcon Guard By Joel Bouhey
This video is on the falcon guard and what you can do with it. This is a good reference for anyone who wants to speed up their guard game and get more comfortable with holding positions that they can then transition into a sweep, arm bar, choke, etc... Joel's style is very pragmatic, you feel as if you're there with him training without your gi. I pull out the video frequently and 2x the speed and drill & pause the video so that I can practice the skills right along Joel as he presents the material. Great deal for the price.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Do recommend. Short and to the point
Finding The Darce Choke Everywhere by Joel Bouhey
Good, short and to the point. Learnt quite some, but since it's understandably short video, the techniques explained are not that full of details as I would hope for. I would prefer it to be a bit longer, but that's me, so it should not affect the total score. The main thing the moves are well explained and I managed to make them work for me. Not all of them, but getting there.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Do recommend :)
Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
Just great :) I really like it. More suited for modern grappling AND mma than old guard passing methods. Craig is a vwry likeable instructor. Need to add that my sparringpartners dont know how to deal with simple, yet effective pinning methods presented in the tutorial. Really clever positions and surprisingly easy to apply.

The Kimura Anthology by Lachlan Giles
Lachlan has hit it out of the park again. This series dropped at the perfect time for me when I started heavily exploring kimuras, and I’m already seeing success from his details a week later.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Pragmatic & Cuts to the Chase
Reverse Triangle The World by Joel Bouhey
This is not the first video I've watched by Joel. I've watched and practiced his falcon guard & rolling back take. What I appreciate about Joel's teaching style is that he doesn't spend tons and tons talking. He's very to the point. He explains the techniques, he demonstrates the techniques, and then gives you drills. I like pulling out this video and throwing it on 2x speed and drilling the techniques right along with him as he does them. There's not any fluff. It's down and dirty and straight to the technique and then practicing it. If I had to do it all over again, I would still purchase the video. I thought it was pretty good.
