Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:New Wave NoGi Halfguard review
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No Gi Half Guard 3 Directions of Attack by John Danaher
I was hesitant of buying this as I already own the halfguard conent from Gordon Ryan. But since there was a sale I went ahead and decided to add to my collection and I am super glad I did. He definitely goes over lots of material that is not in Gordons dvd. Both are amazing but if I had to recommend to someone who is deciding which to buy, I would definitely choose John Danaher, his instructions and breakdowns are just so dang good

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No Gi Half Guard 3 Directions of Attack by John Danaher
Classic JD. You fall asleep even on 2x speed but when you wake up you'll understand the technique. Partly because he's still explaining it.
Amazing
Systematically Attacking the Guard Body Lock Study by Gordon Ryan
Amazing
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:This should be called "BJJ Defence Shortcut: throw out the 1000 escape techniques you learned that are ineffective anyway".
How to Defend Against Everyone by Chris Paines
If your on the fence and not sure who Chris is, jump on Youtube and watch; 'Spring Camp 2019: How to Defend Everything with Chris Paines'. The concepts covered in this instructional are ground breaking in BJJ and its incredible that this wasn't figured out earlier, but I suppose the best idea's always seem so simple in hindsight. I really hope Chris comes out with more content because I love frustrating my training partners with this material. This instructional covers a lot of ground and is incredible value for money.

The Gracie Secrets: Closed Guard by Kyra Gracie
I love the way Kyra explains the techniques, great content on closed guard. One thing that I'd love to see improved is the audio quality. Using a lavalier microphone for BJJ instruction will always create problems.

The Complete North South Choke by Marcelo Garcia
as an older and smaller practitioner, mastery of this move has allowed to secure a position I could establish control over bigger and younger opponents while at the same time providing a legitimate threat of submission. Every detail given by the great Marcelo Garcia has paid dividends. It also gives a window on a world class champions mindset when establishing positions and moves.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No Gi Half Guard 3 Directions of Attack by John Danaher

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Barney B.
I wasn't sure what to expect but found some excellent technical details shared with this package. The insights, corrections, and detailed explanations by each of the instructors are excellent. I reviewed each one of the main tutorial videos for the month and feel I received good value for the money. Beyond the main tutorials, I really enjoyed Placido's breakdowns of different fight submissions from subscribers. The format is a little casual, but Placido's explanations are *excellent*. He used plain language to ensure the main problem/error in the fight exchange was clear and then showed exactly how to work through that issue and prevent recurrence. The folks who sent their vids in - absolutely received prescriptive feedback. Placido also showed depth of his own knowledge and skills as an instructor. If you can't afford an instructional purchase each month - this option will give you more than enough curriculum to work on for the month! Thanks to BJJ Fanatics, all the instructors for sharing.

Lasso Guard by Raphael Carneiro
The use of what I would consider “shallow” lasso, where the foot is hooked under the arm knee turned out, instead of the knee to shoulder… gives me something to work with to test both methods, or if I can’t get my knee deep and into the shoulder… great instructional
