Exploring The Empty Half Guard by Daniel Paul Pollaccia
This instructional is quite different than most I have seen where it's a position you do not see often but you can get to it from multiple situations. The key to brilliance is simplicity and there isn't much that is complicated in this series. Which means the percentage of hitting these moves feels incredibly high. I am going to spend more time with this position and allow myself to be slightly vulnerable to give these techniques a proper shake down. But so far I love what I see and the secondary leg being the force to create imbalances and prevent guard passes was obvious and made me wonder, why didn't I think of that. This one was exciting to learn from.

The Complete North South Choke by Marcelo Garcia
Perfect Video for the North South choke, he has a great way of explaining something very complex without over explaining. The camera angles allow you to see exactly what he means. This video single-handedly gave me a good north south choke. Well worth the money if you’re looking to build your north south choke, even for those who know the basics of the standard variation. There’s a lot of other entries and super helpful adjustments for finishing the choke when you’re partially there but can’t quite get it. Super recommend

Systematically Attacking The Guard by Gordon Ryan
Gordon and the DDS provide an immense amount of detail that has opened my mind to proper ways passing AND attacking the guard with a systems approach - as an engineer I can truly appreciate systems level thinking and not just a “move “ that most instructional videos teach without a system to support the technique.

Awesome free instructional. This is a great access point for people who want to learn about the false reap and a different way of playing reverse de la riva. You can't really ask for more in a free product, so I can only say that I'm satisfied with content on this instructional.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:part 2 of of the pistol 2 on 1 series.
Connected Reaction: Pistol Grip 2 on 1 Volume 2: Open Guard by Paul Schreiner
This instructional picks up where pistol 2 on 1 left off to explore more open and sit-up guard scenarios. I had A LOT of success with the closed guard series, and my open/sit-up guard game is pretty weak, so I was excited to grab this. While you don't necessarily need to watch the closed guard, I think I got a little more out of it as a lot of the same concepts and theories come up. Paul's teaching style is very heavy on on theory, light on technique. Ergo, the better you understand the theory, the easier and more achievable the techniques become. While I was able to pull of some of the moves from closed guard immediately after viewing it, I needed a some practice and drilling before I could make this work- it's a more sophisticated part of the game (and as I mentioned, a weakness for me). Either way, these moves have become the backbone of my butterfly and sit-up game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Interesting guard to try to

Tum is an amazing instructor, and this is easily one of the best Leg Lock instructionals I have in my collection of many. Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Very Well Organized
Art of Death Passing by Matt Darcy
This is a very systematic approach to passing- all the passes & submission sequences fit neatly within the system & the instructor is very thorough in explaining the specific reactions required in multiple scenarios. What impressed me most was his focus on stabilizing position post-pass, I found it to be very helpful. In my opinion, this is a great system to pair with crab-ride/berimbolo/leg drag systems also, it serves as a good companion piece to that sort of bottom game. I was unfamiliar with Matt Darcy prior to this instructional, but am very happy to have taken a flyer on this video, wonderful content.
