Revamped my kesa game
Introduction To The Power Line: Modified Kesa Gatame by Matthew McPeake
Conceptual teaching is way more effective imo. Understanding the powerline concept applies in way more positions than just kesa. Strongly recommend.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great instructional. Lots of details
High Level Fundamentals by Gregor Gracie
Great instructional. Lots of details that make fundamental moves much more effective.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Well worth it!
The Pitel Half Guard by Bernardo Pitel
Best half guard system in the game!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Cutting edge knowledge
This instructional is much needed for people looking for the next level of progression. You learn tons of very detailed moves that turn your knowledge of leglocks from normal threat, to high level threats. There is too much to go over, but if you’re looking to go to the next level in leg locks Junny guides with tip of the spear knowledge. This is not your average “do this basic move” video, it’s the difference of someone who is performing moves averagely, to someone who does it with precision and efficiency. I highly recommend it.

Sambo: The Top Game - A Blue Print For "Smeshing" by Khabib Nurmagomedov
Changing some details can make a big difference. Good advice related to position, and especially to the use of hips coming from the UFC champion and the person who really inspired me to start learning grappling as a hobby. What else can I ask for? It was a great surprise.

Fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Escapes Gi & No Gi by Lachlan Giles

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:My favorite Ryan DVD
They Shall Not Pass by Gordon Ryan
This DVD comes with around 10 hours of instruction, followed by 25 minutes of rolling and an hour of rolling commentary / analysis. The DVD is split into four scenarios of guard retention: Seated vs Tight Passing, Seated vs Loose Passing, Supine vs Loose Passing, and Supine vs Tight Passing. Gordon goes over all the main positions you'll see him cover in his guard passing DVD. THIS DVD DOES NOT COVER TURTLE & TURTLE ESCAPES. This is my personal favorite of Gordon's DVDs. There is so much gold in here with relatively little repetition or rambling. I saw immediate changes in my game and rates of guard retention against talented opponents after going through the DVD. Where I do fail in practice, I understand what went wrong in my rolls on both a general and specific sense, or at least to a much greater degree than I had before. I recommend pairing this with his seated & supine guard DVDs.

The Grilled Chicken Guard Retention System by Priit Mihkelson
Pritt is an amazing instructor! Never saw anyone take such a complex topics and break them down to a very understandable level. Make sure to watch this instructional several times and give yourself time to understand all the movements and reason behind them. It is truly amazing to see someone explain the concepts I see over and over again with very high level guard players. Over the past 20 plus years I have done much of what Pritt teaches but all basically self learned from years on the mat. First time I ever saw someone put it all together in such a simplistic system. This has already and will continue to help me in many way. It will take time (like all skills) to become proficient and get the feel of when/how to move correctly but he shows all the necessary concepts and just as importantly how to train it all.

Home Run Derby: Baseball Chokes From Everywhere by Magid Hage
Quite effective approach to set up a baseball choke from various positions. In most cases the partner or opponent doesn't even realize what is happening until it's too late. Was able to do it several times from the bottom in sparring.Just be careful though, doesn't take much for your partner to go to sleep.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Definitely Worth It
Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
Danaher presents his insights in the analytical style that he is known for. Take notes as you watch, this instructional is extremely information dense. Another thing that distinguishes Danaher's videos is that he approaches everything as a system. While the details he presents can work in isolation, when used together they are more than the sum of their parts. I can't recommend this instructional highly enough -- the only thing comparable in my mind is the straight jacket instructional (also from Danaher available on this website).
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:One of the best closed guard dvds
The Gracie Secrets: Closed Guard by Kyra Gracie
I own a few closed guard instructional. At first, I hesitated to buy another closed guard video as I was looking for open guard video. With the daily deal discount, I finally purchased this video of Kyra Gracie. I didn’t regret at all. She s a great teacher very detailed explanations (and why we do that) n not waste time straight to the point. That’s the only instructional of Kyra Gracie at BJJFanatics. If she release another video I willl buy again.

The G-Lock by Gesias Cavalcante
THAT'S AWESOME!! I TRAIN WITH JZ AND HAVE LEARNED THE POSITION DIRECTLY FROM HIM, BUT IN THIS DVD ITS AWESOME BECAUSE I COULD SEE DETAILS MORE CLEAR AND SOME VARIATIONS HE HASN'T SHOWED ME YET. IT'S MIND BLOWING HOW YOU CAN TRAIN WITH SOMEONE AND HAVEN'T SEEN ALL HIS GAME. ALSO IT'S EVEN MORE MIND BLOWING THE JZ KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO EXPLAIN AND TEACH. IF YOU EVER HAVE A CHANCE STOP BY AT OUR SCHOOL TO LEARN FROM THE LEGEND ITSELF OR IF HAPPENS TO HAVE A SEMINAR CLOSE TO YOU DONT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY. AS MUCH HE IS A GREAT TEACHER HE IS ALSO A GREAT HUMAN BEING FULL OF POSITIVITY AND GREAT ENERGY.

Leg Lock Anthology: 50/50 by Lachlan Giles
I've purchased way too many instructionals here at BJJ Fanatics since early 2018, I doubt I'll ever even get to watch all of them before I pass away I've gotten so many lol. With that out of the way, this instructional if I had to say 1 was my favorite that I have watched, it would probably be this one!! Just excellent content, teaching, tons of stuff with really no wasted talking, just constant insightful BJJ knowledge about the leg lock game being thrown at you!! Thank you @Lachlan Giles and BJJ Fanatics - you both have helped this 44 year old brown belt improve so much technically that it's overcome what I've lost physically to keep me loving the game, Oss!!
Response from BJJ FanaticsNice! :hugging:Very informative, much recommend
Leg Lock Anthology: 50/50 by Lachlan Giles
Lachlan demonstrates the techniques that were effective at the highest level. The level of detail is astonishing for its price. I do not think you will get as much bang for your buck anywhere else.

Systematic Submission Dilemmas: High Level Triangle and Leg Lock Combos by Craig Jones
Was a little too advanced at the beginning when I barely knew how to apply leg locks but was ok at triangles. But having given it time & lockdown I've found it was probably my best purchase yet. Tons of content that'll last me a good while to work through.

The Anchor Guard by Chad Lyman
The anchor guard is a really simple concept that branches off into different directions. Really smart, well thought out. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that the audio wasn't great because Chad was using a lapel type microphone that cut out a few times.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Simple and effective
So glad that Alex has the platform to release this and I can support. Been adding the G-Roll as a piece of my "aggressive defense" against reluctant top players once they learn to not pressure to avoid the deep half game and/or block the under hook aggressively. Great addition to the game of any low knee shield player gi or no gi.
