Complete DVD and very educational, I do not take any guillotine since I saw this DVD! for beginners and advanced
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Kurt Rocks!
Fundamentals of a Jiu Jitsu Renegade by Kurt Osiander
For anyone familiar with Kurt's "Move of the Week" series, you're already familiar with the killer mix of no-nonsense instruction and unconventional humor Prof. Osiander brings to the mats. I came of age during the height of thrash/Bay area metal and it's awesome to find an instructor who brings that vibe to the art of jiu-jitsu. Un-PC and uncompromising, learn the fundamentals from a killer who at heart seems to be part yeti and part teddy bear!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Irish collar is a game changer
The Ground Marshal Guard by Neil Melanson
Love all the content on this dvd set. Neil breaks everything down so it’s easy to learn and added a new level to my game
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Worth it's weight in gold
Open Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
I find that I'm able to apply the concepts John discusses in the instructional against training partners my skill level and under almost immediately after watching the DVD and even without drilling the movement first. Open guard and guard retention go well together, first developing an impenatrable guard and then going right into the attack. His explanations and in depth specific teaching style is so good I don't even watch bjj YouTube tutorials anymore, just buy his stuff already!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:BJJ FANATICS GI
FUJI X BJJ Fanatics Suparatio Gi
What an awesome gi, I’ve got lots of compliments since I bought it, plus it fits me absolutely perfect, I’m saving for the grey coloured one now.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Mechanics and insights everyone should have
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
Wim lives 30min from my home town, and I never attended one of his classes. Seeing his approach in these videos, I regret this. He has found a way to explain the basic mechanics in such a clear and simple way every beginning student has to understand. I am changing a few things in my way of teaching immediately. Tnx Wim!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great for all levels
Closed Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Great details, great teaching style!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Awesome course- some unique concepts and technical details, superbly taught
Passing Modern Guard Using Old School Concepts by Andre Galvao
I have purchased Danaher and other courses from bjj fanatics including Alex Viera, Musumeci and many others and this course is easily one of the best. Andre Galvao has put together a bulletproof conceptual approach to passing guards, and married this together with unique technical details. The whole system is taught in a very easy to understand format with a focussed teaching methodology and I came away after the first viewing with the ability to remember about 90% of the material. Professor Galvao is obviously an extremely experienced teacher and so you will benefit a lot from this instructional. Even if you a seasoned competitor, there are some game-changing details in the course- such as passing into side control with double underhooks and hammer grip rather than traditional crossface, so your opponent cannot frame and this nullifies about 99 percent of your opponents side control escapes. This is just one example.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Extremely well taught instructional for BJJ takedowns
Takedown Dominance by Andre Galvao
This is every BJJ practitioners dream! how to do single leg and double leg takedowns effectively with all the juicy details, Galvao has adapted wrestling takedowns for bjj, so you don't get guillotined every time and you don't end up struggling on your knees against a sprawler all the time. With this dvd, you don't have to devote yourself to learning intricate wrestling moves for 3-5 years and then have to re-correct and change your head position and posture for bjj. Professor Galvao teaches you the correct way to do these takedowns for bjj and he has already thought through all the common counters and re-counters, so eliminating the game of wrestling chess. His details of execution will have you nailing takedowns from standing and also with reversals (coming up from the ground). The instructional focusses on single and double leg with knee tap, but it's simple and easy to remember. I really love this course.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Solid breakdown of both the transitions and submissions
Position to Submission by Matheus Diniz
I was expecting something a little more rushed in terms of details so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw thew quality of detail in both the sweeps/transitions and the submissions. This has always been a weak area of mine so I'm hoping it proves useful.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great content

Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
My defense and positional awareness has improved tremendously. I noticed with my sparring partners, and the effort that they must put out in order to subdue me. John highlights danger areas, and good practice, which in turn I believe has helped me prevent possible injuries.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Awesome Instruction
Half Domination by Tom DeBlass
I own several products from BJJ Fanatics. They are all very high quality and instantly applicable. I was able to hit one of Tom’s sweeps the first time I went to class after viewing. I would not hesitate to recommend this video to anyone, expert or novice!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Level up!
Rubber Guard: The Meathook by Brandon McCaghren
A diamond in the rough, Brandon McCagheren is. His ability to communicate and display the intricate details and nuances of the rubber guard meathook system is unparalleled. Do yourself a favor and buy this.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:John's "Guard Retention" changed my game and mindset fundamentally
Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
What an eye-opener! After almost 7 years of training BJJ as a hobby, this tutorial not only showed me the massive gaps I have in my game (though I was certainly aware of them) but most importantly laid out a detailed root cause of the "Why" and provided excellent solution approach which I successfully managed to apply during both, training sessions and classes I teach in a local gym. John steps away from the orthodox approach of going through single techniques and piecing them together but lays out a true system of guard vs. guard pass, the nature of the "The guard" and requirements for passing and retention. The way he explains is pragmatical and completely focused on "what works and why it works" from an anatomical perspective. An example is the "4 points of connection" and "6 steps to passing a guard/getting your guard passed". One will learn about the importance/retention of grips, placement of the feet and potential impact if those "4 points of connection" change/are being changed. This conceptual approach helps me to both, better understand the sport and improve my game fundamentally. Bottom line: a clear "must" for anyone who is looking for the conceptual approach on guard, guard passing and retention.
Response from BJJ FanaticsThat's so nice to read! Thanks a lot!My training partners hate Lachlan :joy:
The Body Lock Pass by Lachlan Giles
The Bodylock Pass is my first instructional purchase, and its definitely added a new element to my passing game. I was hoping this instructional would add to my game by improving my pressure passing. This is exactly what it provided, as well as delivering a greater conceptual understanding of passing. Not only have i been using the Bodylock with increasing proficiency through study and practice, the instructional has helped widen my passing game all-round with the concepts to resist being swept (especially from butterfly) and introducing new passes/passing positions (sao paolo/headquarters). Studying the instructional as Lachlan suggests by going back to the video to troubleshoot issues you face in training definitely seems the best way to go about it and has helped me work past problems. Since I started using it in sparring and been quizzed on the new style I've had training partners curse Lachlan mid and post-roll, which should be endorsement enough!
Response from BJJ Fanaticshahaha thanks for the review, keep dedicating yourself!Fantastic Instructional!!
Leglocks 101 by Charles Harriott
I have a lot of instructionals and this is one of the best. If you are looking to get into leglocks or want to refine your technique, this one is a must. Charles is an amazing instructor and he put together a well organized set of drills and techniques. This one has helped me a lot. Bernardo / Michael - you need to do some more Charles Harriott instructionals!

Open Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Wow, JD comes out again with a VERY informative DVD series that is so very deep in knowledge of the BJJ open guard game. Just the section on gripping the GI itself is worth the price of the DVD alone. Me, being new to BJJ, find that many professors won't go to the depth of detail on fundamental principles that John does. Using his DVD's has put me on a fast track and the results are amazing. (I now give blue and purple belts a hard time. This is with only a few months of training.)
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great video
Sambo for BJJ by Vlad Koulikov
Vlad is an excellent instructor. This video is a nice collection of techniques, taught in a very easy to learn way. I highly suggest picking this video up, you'll definitely learn from it. Can't wait for his next video to come out on BJJ Fanatics.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Concepts are key
General Introduction to Mirroring Principle by Wim Deputter
I'm a brown belt from Holland, luckily to have been able to train with Wim on multiple occasions. Like in real life, this DVD really shows his very detailed teacher skills. Even though i have been training for almost 10 years now, this series still showed me new basic principles, which never crossed my minds. Like his prof Felipe Costa, his teaching method is very concept based. Dont except 100 different fancy techniques, expect the same concept over and over again, with different outcomes each time.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Game Changing!
Finishing Finishers by JM Holland & Zach Maslany
Zach and JM are top-tier instructors, and Grace is a world-******. My Jiu-Jitsu improves every time I watch their instructionals.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Worth every penny
Systematically Attacking From Closed Guard by Gordon Ryan
1st of all, I feel fortunate that we live in a time where we get access to leading minds in BJJ with such ease. Gordan's teaching style is clear. His thinking from every position is systematised (as you would expect from a Danaher Black Belt). He does exceptionally well with explaining concepts, dos and donts or crucial details meanwhile connecting systems to sub systems. If you are a practitioner that is more interested in the Why and not the How then this is for you.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great buy

Xande is one of the best, game changer.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::gem:Great overall grappling gameplan
Gangster Grappling by Chael Sonnen
Sonnen is a delight to watch/listen to in any context. However, in this series he sets you up with a mentality and gameplan for a top minded game and more grappling specific sequences as opposed to BJJ lineages. Coming from BJJ, this really opened my mindset and toolbox.

Diamond Concept: The Diamond Guard Frame, Shield, Elegant, Pedal by Xande Ribeiro
This video has been amazing. I was lucky enough to find this instructional early into my white belt. The concepts shown here have been immensely helpful in my progression through green belt. After months of practice with these concepts I am confident enough that I can roll with anyone in my gym up to purple belt and not get tapped out. This instructional has helped me survive on the mat so I can begin to thrive in my rolls. Highly recommend.
Response from BJJ FanaticsAwesome! Keep dedicating yourself and never stop studying!Great buy!

The Grilled Chicken Guard Retention System by Priit Mihkelson
Although I am a big guy myself, I used to be afraid of big guys passing my guard all time. Now I am not that concerned, because even if my guard is passed, I can simply use other structures to protect myself. Frames, panda, proper turtle, running man... Yes, it's rather older men game, but I don't care, I wish I can roll til 80's ))

Old School Efficient BJJ by Chris Haueter
I’ve come to the realization that mastering the basics in Jiu-Jitsu is the foundation for all future progress. The breakdown of each move gives additional perspective that you may have overlooked in your game. It’s not just an explanation of how, but why.

its great video - after studying I going to make this technique in all my rolling! I guess I understand the material for 20-30 % but it works even on the first stage of learning!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Paradigm shifting concepts
Protecting & Generating Dynamic Offense From The Turtle by Priit Mihkelson
I have taken interest in how you choose words in you description of both movement and technique. Paradigm shifting and perhaps helping you is having English as a second language…...you need to think 'out of the box/mat' with words as you do with movement and conceptual thought. I put this to the test today. I changed the word ‘survival’ (which has a somewhat passive connotation) to ‘exploration’ during drilling. Interesting results on how the energy changed. Seemed like the JIU in jiu jitsu was more active and the idea of winning/losing in the rolls was diminished. As a side note, there is a lot to learn from your teaching by actually LISTENING to you talk. Your are giving away the ‘secrets’ with words as well as technique.
