Great reference guide for the basics!
Invincible Basics by Renato Migliaccio
Pretty good reference guide for the basics. Not long winded, techniques are explained in a concise and clear manner. I also like that most (not all) techniques are shown in contrasting Gi colors and background colors. Only downside is the image quality wich is pretty low, especially when watching on a bigger screen. And also the fact that 186 chapters in total may be a bit much. But overall good value for your money!
De La Riva Fundamentals
De La Riva Fundamentals by Danny Stolfi
An excellent introduction into the De La Riva Guard, combining a nice mix of both old school and modern DLR attacks to help you develop a strong foundation! Highly recommended.

Fascinating
Learning How to Relax in Jiu-Jitsu by Professor Henry Akins
Relaxation so simple , so profound and so game changing. The challenge is do do this when someone is trying to escape, pin or submit you. Henry demonstrates primarily in relation to pinning but makes the point that relaxation needs to underpin everything you do and that mastery is when you can dominate using only 10% effort.

Excellent Instruction
The Hawaiian Headlock System by Scott Miller
You have probably seen Craig Jones escape side control by grabbing his own leg around the opponent’s back, trapping the opponent’s arm between his thighs and rolling him over and ending up in modified scarfhold type of pin. This is a really clear instruction on how to do that and other techniques related to that.
