Great Anti-Wrestling Instructional
The Anti-Wrestling Equation by Craig Jones
Craig has certainly put a lot of thought and mat time with wrestlers! He explains quite well how the respective rule sets shaped how differently BJJ practitioners and wrestlers roll in the same position and the trade-offs of each strategy. This instructional is incredibly valuable for BJJ practitioners who find themselves against those with a wrestling background, likely both at the gym and in competitions!
Great Solo Drill Instructional
Self Mastery: Solo BJJ Training Drills by John Danaher
Covers well many foundational movements that are useful for BJJ! This was especially useful during the COVID lockdowns, but useful for anyone working on BJJ-specific movements!

This instructional covers many fundamental techniques well!
Great Head Hunting Instructional
High Percentage Chokes: No Gi by Lachlan Giles
Covers a great range of no gi chokes! The stand-out portions from this instructional for me are the inverted north-south system and the linkages of certain chokes across different positions!
Very Detailed Escaping Instructional
Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Great instructional for learning escapes, which are crucial at all levels, but especially for new folks! Even for the techniques that every gym teaches quite well (e.g., hip escapes from side control/mount, bridging escapes from mount), there are incredible details here that make those escapes much more effective! Danaher also covers a range of less conventional escapes, which provide additional options (e.g., shoulder roll escape from side control [rolling away from your opponent, seemingly exposing your back] and the high leg [which gives a brief opportunity for an armbar from bottom side control]).
Great and Comprehensive Half Guard Instructional
The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
Very detailed and showcases how diverse and powerful the half guard position can be! Incredible value!
Incredible Instructional!
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Mounted Pin Attacks - The 4x4 Mount System by John Danaher
Incredible instructional! Great 4x4 system that mostly focuses on four no-gi attacks (arm triangles, armbars, mounted triangles, and back attacks) starting from attacking an underhook. Also contains great details on maintaining mount and getting there from both side control and half guard (and notably keeping the underhook from passing from those positions).
