So good!
Systematically Attacking The Guard by Gordon Ryan
One of the best NO Gi passing systems I’ve used. The level of techniques and small important details in this video will help you pass anyones guard. I like that it gives you multiple in depth options into attacking the guard. Definitely worth every penny.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Invest a month in this
The Darce Killer by Malachy Friedman
The Darce is a really confusing choke because some people can get to it from anywhere due to their body shape. However, if you invest time in this DVD with a good training partner you can limit the damage by seeing it coming and being prepared. There are quite a few counter attacks from the darce but you will probably be able to work them out from drilling these positions and seeing where arms are left dangling.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Fabulous instructions
Winning From Full Mount by Andre Galvao
This technique help me a lot on the mat this instruction is a must to buy
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Something special
The Lo Guard & Matrix Passing by Leandro Lo
What can I say about this genius, he was so good at passing from standing and he found some amazing methods of doing it. I wasn't sure about Lo for sometime because I felt he was a points fighter, but in reality he did whatever it took to win under the ruleset he was given. Some of his techniques like his "bar room double leg" are actually really useful for anyone to investigate, but this DVD is fantastic. Lo isn't doing anything a somewhat able bodied person can't, and his passing was refined against some amazing guards like the Miyao brothers. He truly was a great competitor and if you are a student of the game, his passing is a must to delve into.
Fantastic content, solid foundations
The Turtle System by Henry Akins
This is a very good instructional especially about good placement and how to roll. The price tag is pretty hefty so I suggest waiting for a sale, but if you are new to the sport or want to be able to teach the position to beginners you will find a great syllabus here. Even just refreshing core details is good. There are more in depth instructionals about turtle like Eduado Telles' original masterpiece, and Gordon Ryan's escaping front headlock and turtle. Despite that, this still justifies its spot on the marketplace.

Modern 50/50 Fundamentals: Guard by Nick Salles and Danny Maira
Their techniques are very effective and useful. In this video they explain very important 50/50 concepts. I love their Modern Passing DVD series, too. Recommended all together.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A DVD you can drill with any partner for optimum forcing moves
Precision Foot Sweeps by Steve Mocco
Foot sweeps are so valuable. They keep your opponent guessing and are low impact, so you could use them on your ***** brother or to help control someone who you don't want to hurt. But they also open up more powerful take downs and movements. These are the ultimate forcing move and they also translate to the ground (all throws have a ground equivalent). Steve's timing, strategy and combos are really battle tested and work well. The best thing is you can practice this with people of all sizes because it is so low impact and you don't have to go all the way to the ground to practice them. Therefore I can practice with my girlfriend without even going to the ground because it's more like dancing as it's timing and coordination that matter. I will be using this for a long time!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Best instructional
Spinal Manipulation by Jake Scovel
Highly recommend
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Worth it for the body lock passes alone
New Wave Jiu Jitsu: No Gi Guard Passing by John Danaher
This is exceptional. I wasn't sure as the passing in gi was pretty comprehensive, but there are plenty of elements in here not touched on in the gi passing. I have melded pretty well with the body lock passing and I believe it is worth it for that alone. However open guard passing is a subject I will delve deeper into and hopefully master thanks to this material.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:A gem
All of Pedro Sauer’s instructionals are BJJ gold and this is no exception. Definitely will add dimensions to your game if you want to avoid getting mounted or know how to defend and escape such situations.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A new attack for me
The Scarf Hold The Soul Stealer by Henry Akins
Many good pointers, worthwhile, good for everyone,
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:A key concept which can be missed with focus on one technique
Unifying The Systems: Navigating Between The DDS Submissions Systems by Garry Tonon
You will go through a process of needing to laser focus on some techniques, only to then be faced with completely difference scenarios and being blocked from what you were going for! For me, I have managed to funnel people down paths, but if they have an answer to any of my techniques sometimes I'm confused because I don't know what next, even if technically I should be able to beat the opponent. This DVD will help you surf through the techniques you may well already know and see the rich opportunities to go from one attack to another even if you didn't think you could front headlock someone then leg lock them. Well, you can! This is great as it builds confidence. If you like this DVD you will also probably like Effortless Jiu JItsu by Rich Byrne as they have a similar meta behind them. Always make sure you sharpen the saw of your A game, but I'm sure we've all gone up against a person who just has a really good escape to one of our best attacks.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great as always

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Efiiciency for grappling
Systematically Attacking From Closed Guard by Gordon Ryan
Most of the concept presented in this instructional are very pertinent for a grappling contest, but it's missing analyse for a mma situation where the top player will act totally differently. most of the time he will put a lot of forward pressure and will not try to posture up. Great work thought

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Methodical back takes from surprising positions
World Class Back Takes From Bottom by Felipe Pena Preguica
I really like this DVD. Felipe has come up with a strategy that works really well and I hope to apply this to my tool kit. Clearly attacking the back is the best position and Felipe has some movements that work really well, but have a few small steps that need to be mastered in order to get there. These small adjustments are sometimes counter intuitive but if you can master them you will surprise many people with back takes from what seem to be bad positions.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:You have to buy this if you struggle with inversions
Inversions 101 And The Art Of Inversion by Charles Harriott
I told Charles at a bjj camp in Arizona there was no way I could invert because of my size ( I am an ultra heavyweight) he said give me 5 mins and I will have you doing full inversions. He was absolutely right so if you struggle or even just want to learn you need this video I promise you Charles will have you doing inversions in no time.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:This DVD is so good it will even help your language skills
Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
I have had this DVD For a long time, but due to not being a big no gi practioner and being a lower belt a large amount of the content wasn't directly applicable to me. But I decided after looking more into open guard and having seeing some no gi competitions around me even allow heel hooks for the mid brackets, maybe I really need to understand this. Leg locks are open, floating and complicated so you do need a good guide. But what I was most surprised about was that now this DVD has subtitles in multiple languages including German and Portugese! Now I can practice my German and leg locks at the same time. Fantastic resource.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Techniques that will get you moving from the bottom
Fundamentals of Side Control Escapes by Pedro Sauer
When I have been in people's side control before and felt completely lost, so the importance of getting our can't be underestimated to me. I had been getting better at surviving but could be spending whole rounds surviving. The alternative escapes from this side control DVD have really helped me get moving and feel more confident all round, as I feel less afraid to make forward progress. It has also really helped my understanding of sweeps, as some of the moves involve similar mechanics to the knee lever and flower sweeps. This realisation has really struck home. I now have more of a combination approach to escapes, where if one doesn't work the other has a much better chance, whereas before it was more all or nothing.

The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
I could have solved some problems
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A map of open guards
Effortless Jiu Jitsu by Rich Byrne
This is a really nice look at guard from someone who has a real talent. I have been looking for a way to drill guard transitions for a while, and this is a great DVD for that. As open guard is so wide, it is really important to have a good feeling for the exact placements which are valuable instead of just flailing around. This DVD will show you how to move easily through x-guards into waiter, k-guard and de la riva. The transitions are really cool and though this is a gi DVD, it does have great applications for no gi. I will use this to help me navigate this really complicated subject.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Crushing side control attacks
Side Control Attacks & Submissions: Old School Evolution by Fabio Gurgel
I have used this DVD for a while and it really provides you with certainty over what attacks to use. Side control pins have been my best position, but getting the sub has also been an issue. What I have found from using this DVD is that you need to start pushing people down the path from entering the position. I recommend focusing on these techniques as combinations and drilling them a large amount until they're second nature.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:good explanation and logical progression
Effective Closed Guard Combinations: Sweeps & Submissions by Denilson Pimenta
good explanation and logical progression through solid techniques - good price too
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Unknown treasure
Leg Ride Blueprint by Max Askren
Max has an exceptional skillset that directly translates to BJJ, MMA and wrestling. The leg ride he teaches is really helpful for my style of BJJ and as people are really unused to this approach (things as simple as the thigh pry) you can soon start cracking people's turtle positions and learn things like the cross body ride and the crab ride from the gravitationally natural position! Especially for my size learning inverted cross body rides and crab rides is quite confusing and I never get into these positions in rolls. Highly recommended along with all other content from Max and Ben.

Amazing Instructional! Next Level Wizardry!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great - absolutely reccomend
Filthy Cross Body Attacks by Neil Melanson
Great instructional that I have already started to implement into my game. Melanson makes things very clear, gives straight analysis of techniques that are good but maybe not as high percentage as others and keeps things engaging and entertaining. Already picked up another one of his instructionals based on how much I liked this one.

Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Excellent resource for building knowledge on the fundamentals off half guard. I've been training for 2 years now. I'm 30 and feel that half-guard will be solid place to build my game around. I loved this instructional series. It's comprehensive and the level of detail is phenomenal. I highly recommend this.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Because Imanari Rolls are cool
The Imanari Roll And Modern Leg Attacks From Japan by Masakazu Imanari
My kids and I were attracted to the Imanari roll section because it’s cool. Ha. Great teaching. Worth the price for that alone. Started off in another language with no translator then the translation got better. I hope BJJ Fanatics continues to help with Thick accents and other languages. Simple voice overs in post production would help a lot. The leg attacks are mostly stuff you’d learn anyways in a healthy gym but still good and some helpful variations that might work for you.
Darce Game Changer!
I enjoyed this instructional! Jeff Glover gives an absolute master class on one of my favorite submissions! Clear instructions with great details.
