Lachlan always puts out quality content. This one is no exception. I've been on the mat for 15 yrs. Teaching is my full time job. I watch a lot of Jiu-jitsu, mostly for the little details that different instructors focus on. Some real armlock fire from our Australian friend here.

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Positional Escapes by John Danaher
John's teaching style prefers concepts over specifics which makes it easier to learn. Positional escapes are usually not everyone's favorite topic, but absolutely crucial to development along with guard retention. This instructional has made me more confident in going for submissions because I know if I miss I have a good chance of escaping a bad position.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Increased my game - applicable and realistic for any level and roll.
Dynamic Pressure Passing by Johnny Tama
This review is well overdue but I purchased this because my passing game was not improving, but following the guidance by Professor Tama, I feel way more comfortable even ATTEMPTING a pass and not losing my balance immediately. Professor Tama provides a unique but extremely applicable approach to passing. This can improve your game for beginners, such as myself or fine tune the details for higher belts. I am definitely happy I studied these techniques and will continue to do so.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Outstanding concepts
Framing Domination and Guard Recovery by Tom DeBlass
As always, Tom takes world class instruction and teaches in a manner that is easy to follow. His explanation of framing against his opponents lead hand and keeping his own from being controlled is a concept that I use more than maybe any other defensive concept. Highly recommended video.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:The Definitive Guide
Leglocks: Enter The System by John Danaher
I have a number of John's instructionals bu this one might be the best. It is a ton of information, over 10 hours, so it has to be digested and applied slowly but worth it for anyone wanting to learn the modern leg lock game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Incredible Body Lock Series
Rody Lock: The Nick Rodriguez Body Lock System by Nick Rodriguez
The biggest shock to me from watching/drilling this body lock system is that you do not need to be incredibly strong to utilize the system. I have been working it with a couple of my smaller/weaker friends and the pressure they are able to create is miles better than they ever have before simply from following NickyRod's super detailed yet easy to follow step by step process. 100% recommend to anyone looking to step their game up fast!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:My Go to for Headlocks
High Percentage Chokes: No Gi by Lachlan Giles
Amazing how the lesson is laid out… easy to follow even for a blue belt. Lachlan Giles is a great professor for BJJ in general
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Awesome
The Anti-Wrestling Equation by Craig Jones
Great material, techniques you can start using today.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:A techniques focused instructional
Visible Jiu Jitsu: The Closed Guard Submission System by Bruno Bastos
This closed guard (GI) instructional by Bruno Bastos teaches a range of classic submissions and sweeps. It is a techniques focused instructional. The submissions taught include a comprehensive range of armbars, chokes including the triangle choke, wrist locks, kimura, omaplata, a toe hold, and a knee bar. Sweeps include the usual suspects: flower (which demonstrated appears to be a hybrid of the flower and the pendulum sweep), scissor, omaplata sweep, hip bump and for a standing opponent the muscle, back roll and tripod sweeps. Techniques are taught for situations when the opponent is either on their knees or standing in your closed guard. Additionally, Bruno Bastos teaches a back take using a two on one grip. This instructional has a total runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes. The format of the instructional is for Bruno Bastos to firstly discuss and describe the technique and then he guides the viewer through the technique as it is demonstrated. I think this approach works well. The technique is repeated multiple times from different angles to the camera. As with many traditional instructionals the Uke is completely passive, so there are occasions where I thought it would really improve the instructional if some resistance could be shown in at least in one of the repetitions or using narrated rolling, as this would better demonstrate the necessary control required to undertake the technique successfully with someone other than a smaller passive partner. Additionally, I would have appreciated hearing Bruno Bastos’ insights about his closed guard tactics. The instructional has been filmed with a fixed camera. The quality of the video is good, as is the range and there are no issues with the microphone. The available previews are consistent with the whole instructional. In summary, this instructional effectively teaches a range of individual closed guard submission and sweeping techniques. I think the instructional would have been improved with more emphasis (i.e., discussion and particularly demonstration) being placed on how to effectively control a resisting opponent, including how to respond to the likely response from your opponent as you enter and progress each technique taught; and how to choose between techniques and link submissions together as part of a system. Additionally, my preference is for the Uke not to be significantly smaller or lighter than the instructor, particularly if sweeps are being taught and demonstrated.
Game Changer!
Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Great instructional! I like how John teaches general concepts as well as retention against specific guard passes. Also, there is much more information on John's instructionals compared to some others. This one is no exception.

The Complete Williams Guard by Shawn Williams
Recently learned about this guard while training and a few days late realised it was on sale! No better person to learn it from
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Increased my game - insightful, detailed and effective!
Lasso From Everywhere by Vinicius Lino
This instructional is gold and improved my game from the bottom position! Professor Vinny's Lasso is so effective and sets up many offensive attacks. It was great to see all of the angles (3-4 angles) from each major position. The details are key and Vinny explained clearly in every position. Example: elbows in, palms up or else it's not effective. Boom, gold. I did manage to pull off some of these techniques today and was happy to see my bottom game improve and gain confidence.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Excellent!
The Daisy Fresh Knee Slice by Andrew Wiltse
