Madge Muay Thai Fundamentals by Don Madge
If you're at a grapple heavy gym and are looking for some Muay Thai in your arsenal this is perfect. There's a lot for the beginner / novice but with details the intermiate's may not have heard yet, and even some "advanced tricks" sprinkled in. Don is MMA aware too, so my worries about footwork when I recommend were quickly nullified as all I've said prior played out.

Ultimate Choke Escapes by Henry Akins
when you watch these choke escapes, you start to understand why Rickson's jiu jitsu was what it was. having been his student for years, Henry's fundamentals are as solid as a rock can be. with very little adjustments, chokes effectiveness just disappear. the 'impossible' escape from the belly down completely locked RNC is a great example of the depth of this tutorial.

Coach Fox does an amazing job in this instructional breaking down his arm bar principles. I am big fan of his teaching style and now he builds concepts in a logical manner. He switches between Gi and No Gi to show the moves work equally well in both styles. Additionally he is very responsive on Facebook if you have any questions, which is a nice plus.

I bought this video series hoping that I would get a complete nutritional guide to help me build a dieting plan. Afterall, the marketing says: - Transform Your Body In Just One Short Month - Change Your Life By Following These SIMPLE STEPS - Increase Your Cardio And Stength While Losing Weight What you get is some general nutritional knowledge that can be found anywhere on the Internet for free that is delivered in a rambling manner, plus a bunch of weight cutting information for competitive fighters. Overall, I got next to nothing out of this video series and I would not recommend it to anyone. This was very disappointing considering bjjfanatics is the same company that delivers the much more thoughtful content of John Danaher and Lachlin Giles.

Great to have a “top down” approach the gives you the landscape of the subject to understand how all the techniques and details work toward overarching principles. I struggle to “see the forest through trees” with BJJ and this helps immensely. I’m starting to see the general principles Prof. Danaher covers in so many things now and helps me pick them up much easier.

I use to be frustrated by the back position and would frequently lose position and rarely get a choke. That has totally changed now. The incredible detail Danaher has gone into now lets me maintain control, grip fight and finish with ease. Even on much more experienced opponents. Now i know, once i can get to the back i can finish. So worth it.

Recently purchased this product and am not disappointed, it doesn’t just show an array of techniques and counters to various guard passes etc, it details the concepts and principles of retaining guard, which for me, as a newly promoted blue belt had been a real eye opener! Great product for a great price! People of all belt levels would definitely gain from this!

No one makes this content as easily consumable as John Danaher. And what I really like is he gives you the big picture... the eagle-eye view, before taking you into the details. There is a counter to your opponent’s counter, and he covers each nuance with enough repetition that you have a high level of understanding just by watching, so that you can try it out later on the mats. Currently, we are dealing with COVID-19, and accessibility to roll is limited, so to still be able to study, and get some new perspective has been interesting. I recommend this series.

Though it's not all the techniques, the great thing about this instructional is that he introduces fundamental concepts in addition to techniques. Most instructors just show list of techniques, in an organized manner. I think besides Marcelo Garcia, John Danaher talks concepts in his instructional. But either way, that's really good. You don't improve BJJ without understanding what you're doing or why/how that's happening, e.g. concepts. Marcelo Garcia does it very well here.
