Fundamentally sound
Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
When evaluating John Danaher's "Half Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster," the standout feature is its absolute commitment to building rock-solid foundations. This is not a collection of flashy, disconnected techniques; rather, it is a deeply systematic approach to mastering the half guard position. The true strength of this release lies in the simple, repetitive nature of the teaching. Movements and concepts are broken down into their most basic components and iterated upon intentionally. This repetition is a highly effective pedagogical tool designed to drill fundamentally sound instruction into the viewer's grappling vocabulary. By consistently revisiting core mechanics, the series ensures that the underlying principles are fully absorbed and understood before moving forward.
Secrets to Power
Secrets to Counter Fighting by Trevor Wittman

Articulative teacher and simplified demonstrations for white belts
Gracie Tampa South Intro BJJ Curriculum by Matt Arroyo
If you're a white belt and you're feeling overwhelm with going to classes, feeling lost after the session, and want to understand the bare fundamentals, then I recommend this course for you. I just started my jujitsu journey 4 months ago. I was going to class maybe 1x/week because of work related schedule. Obviously the learning was a lot slowly because of my commitment. As Im going through these videos, I'm able to apply the lessons to my classes for "intent/purposeful learning". I know my hand positioning, my goal in each position, and how to progress in and out of position. Matt speaks very clearly, articulates his thoughts well, and the video demonstrations are very easy to follow. I recommend this to all working adult level white belts.

Brilliant techniques, really helped to bring together a lot of what I was trying to do myself and gives so many pointers on transitioning from foot lock to Aoki lock and butterfly ashi from many different positions. If you like to play open guard and also like straight footlocks, outside ashi and butterfly ashi, and find often you get smashed or back taken when playing these positions against better training partners this is definitely going to be a useful resource.
