Guard Retention: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Perhaps the #1 instructional for white belts. It's easy to get stuck in the scope creep of endless options for submissions and techniques, but guard retention is the #1 thing I've found helps by game. This instructional uses the funnel approach of showing general concepts to each type of technique, effectively teaching you not just "counter A with B" but things to keep in mind at all times when rolling. Worth its weight in gold and I've recommended this to everyone.

Brutal Catch Wrestling Leg Riding And Hammer Locks By Joel Bane
Brutal Catch Wrestling Leg Riding and Hammer Locks by Joel Bane
I recently purchased "Brutal Catch Wrestling Leg Riding And Hammer Locks" by Joel Bane and I have to say, it's been a game changer for my grappling skills. As a practitioner of catch wrestling, I am always looking for new techniques to add to my arsenal, and this instructional did not disappoint. What sets this instructional apart is its emphasis on aggression and unorthodox joint locking techniques. Joel Bane, the esteemed head coach of Snake PIT U.S.A, does an excellent job of breaking down each move and explaining the underlying principles. The leg riding techniques are particularly effective and have helped me catch opponents off guard. The production quality of the video is top-notch, with clear demonstrations and multiple angles for a comprehensive understanding. The instructional is easy to follow, even for those with limited experience in catch wrestling. One aspect I appreciate is that the techniques taught in this instructional are practical and applicable in real-world scenarios or competitive grappling. I have already noticed a significant improvement in my skills since incorporating these techniques into my training. If you are a fan of catch wrestling or looking to expand your grappling knowledge, I highly recommend "Brutal Catch Wrestling Leg Riding And Hammer Locks." It's a valuable resource that will add depth and effectiveness to your grappling game.

Methodical approach to knee bars and toe holds in the gi
The Frosty Leg Lock System by Quentin Leahy
Quentin takes a slow and patient approach to introducing the concept of knee bars and toe holds in the gi. Whilst these are not IBJJF legal at my current belt (blue), I was seeking this information precisely for the reasons he highlights at the start of the video. Not learning and practicing these subs prior to brown belt will make the transition once you get there pretty tough. The chapter on finishing mechanics was particularly useful. Some of the setups are from fairly unusual positions, but there were enough from more traditional situations to allow me to work these into my game right away. Also, Justin deserves a shout out for putting a brave face on what looked to be some seriously uncomfortable positions.

Awesome and obscure submissions
Catch Wrestling Submissions by Jake Shannon
I recently purchased Catch Wrestling Submissions By Jake Shannon and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. The instructional videos provided by Jake Shannon are incredibly detailed and easy to follow. What sets this product apart from others is the emphasis on creating a submission chain that keeps your opponent on their toes. I appreciate that Jake not only teaches specific techniques but also explains the strategy behind them. This has helped me improve my overall grappling game and has given me a new level of confidence when it comes to submissions. If you're looking to level up your submission game, I highly recommend Catch Wrestling Submissions By Jake Shannon.

Sambo: The Top Game - A Blue Print For "Smeshing" by Khabib Nurmagomedov
The takedown setups section was insigful, I am a good wrestler and judoka, but the way Mr. Nurmagomedov explained leverage and distance as well as showed misdirection allowed me to use my skills much more effectively in the context of MMA.
