The Z-Lock Complete Breakdown by Junny Ocasio
Very thorough coverage of Z lock! Ultimately the finishing position is the same but Junny covers a lot of secondary options. Covering the defense is invaluable.
Best instructional video series.
This is what white belts SHOULD be taught. Movements, drills and concepts that make the guard an actual guard. Alot of schools I've been to teach 2 moves to beginners then shrimp across floor (poorly) ok now we spar. That leads to people flopping around on floor and getting injured. This go's into great detail on the basics of defending yourself from your back, why your hand or leg should be where it is and how it translates into techniques. If your a professor this should be what your teaching white belts.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great guard primer
Next Generation Closed Guard by Mica Galvao
Covers lots of closed guard submissions and sweeps in a very organized progression. Picked it up as a blue belt and helped my closed guard improve as I now had options for almost any closed guard position and to break down opponents defense.
A great investment

An Effective, Easy To Implement System
Mastering The Low Mount by Ante Dzolic
For the longest time, I just worked for the high mount. However, I had difficulty holding the position, so I did not like being there. After watching this series once, I feel like I have more control and get more submissions than before. I like that it focuses on funneling your opponent to the same submissions: Americana, Arm Triangle, and Ezekiel. Ante Dzolic is a great choice for creating a solid base. Also, he does not waste time and shows multiple angles. I have all his videos. You will not go wrong if you do the same.
