Loving the 10th Planet stuff

I just finished watching this whole thing, and I'm having a lot more success with the truck and my half guard. I am loving all of the 10th Planet stuff!!!
Easily the Best Instructional Ever
The Modern Defensive Guard by Ryan Hall
Ryan Hall starts from the premise that if you want to understand the guard, you need to understand some points about jiu jitsu as a whole subject, and he spends five volumes explaining a way to think about jiu jitsu that is pretty mind blowing and immediately improved my performance in many positions at the next open mat I went to. I'm just getting into his specific approach to the guard now and I'm seeing things I haven't heard mentioned before but that I think will be as solid as everything he said up to now. THANK YOU!
Must have!

The Complete Butterfly Guard by Marcelo Garcia
On the weekends my family would visit my grandparents house in the Bay Area (they had cable). I would watch hours of baseball games and watch pitchers pitching on TV. I ended up pitching for a World Series game when I was in high school by practicing what I learned. If you want to sweep someone do the same with this class. Thank you Marcelo Garcia.

True Treasure
Dynamic Leg Pummeling by Shawn Williams
S.W. is an amazing instructor! This is the best leg pummeling I have ever seen! He breaks legwork down into very guided steps so that leg pummeling changes from just swinging your legs over your opponents limbs into how to guide your legs over and on top of your opponents limbs to get out the best benefit of it. The add on of the perspective from above on top of the scenarios is amazing too!
Its all right
MMA Takedown Mastery by Ben Askren
Gives you good overview of the most practical takedown techniques for mma with some differences of takedown in pure wrestling to take into account. But I would not call it mastery as it does not provide good details on the execution of each technique. Seems to me it was developed for wrestlers who know in depth each technique and shows them who to apply now in mma. But if you're a striker and want to learn well takedowns I feel there's missing more details to consider
another one
I saw a review online suggesting you could skip this instructional, I disagree strongly. Excellent concepts.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:It's about the details!

MUST BUY
honestly this is probably one of the most interesting instructional ive ever had the chance to watch, this covers standups from turtl- marry me craig, please i beg you, those chest hair make me salivate. you+me = 3 adopted babies. we will take care of them. One will be named Charles, the other Craiginho and the last one im not sure yet, either Naruto or Sasuke, your choice. We will live in a small appartement in Austin. I will be a stay at home dad. I will cook for you delicious meals (pasta, carrot soup, potato and even eggs) I will wash your hair once a week to keep it clean... you will do the same to the last remain of my hair (i have alopecia) You will also have to apply fungal cream between my toes ( i have some nasty infection that started when i was 10). We will stare at each other for hours, until we know every single detail of our faces. I will clean your whole sweaty body with my tongue until every single drop of sweat is in my belly. you WILL do the same to me. I will apply coconut oil all over my body and jiggle my belly fat during your matches to give you motivation and keep you energized. When you finally retire, we will spend all our time on the beach, sitting side by side and tickling each other for hours. At night, You will hold me in your muscular arms (hairy) and on your big chest (hairy) and sing me australian lullabies to make me go to sleep. I love you mate. You may be the second best, but don't worry you will always be the number one on my podium ;) , if you know what i mean mate. (my membrum virile is shaped like a podium)

Best Half Guard Instructional
Systematically Attacking From Half Guard by Gordon Ryan
Systematic, clear and clever sharp series of attacks with great technical details and a good overall understanding of the structure of attacks. Please note that while there is some retention, most of the half guard retention stuff is in the retention instructional, most of the defensive material here is on how not to be put in trouble in the first place
Best instructional to land you that sweet silver medal.

Lachlan is an amazing teacher and technician and this instructional really helps cover the tactics of different moves and positions and when and why to go for them. Would recommend!
