Struggling with pin escapes
Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Just what I needed. I felt like I was grasping things learned in class but each class is different than the last so I felt I didn't have much to go on when trying to practice at home. I also felt proficient with take downs and when I was in mount BUT once I was stuck in a pin, I felt I was in a stalemate for the entire roll. I am still working through the sections but for far I have been able to understand why things are done, I can practice the movements at home, and my pin escape has drastically gotten better.
Great Fundamentals Tutorial
Foundations of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Bernardo Faria
I just started BJJ a few months ago. This course has helped a lot. Bernardo covers a wide variety of techniques and really break them down. Many of the techniques are the same fundamentals taught at my school, but having the videos I can remind myself of the small details I may have missed or forgot. Bernardo does a great job breaking these details down.
