The Maia Backpack System: Controlling The Back by Demian Maia
This second part of a three part system covers maintaining control of the back (the first part, covers getting the back and the third, submitting from the back, both are sold seperatly). This instruction goes in depth, with great detail on the various minor adjustments you can use and when you'll want to use them to respond to your opponent's defensive efforts. I've gotten several instructionals on back control, and this is one of my favorites. I'm becoming very effective using what I've learned here.

Down Right Sloppy Half Butterfly by Eoghan O'Flanagan
Eoghan is a great instructor, and felt like his style is compatible with my adhd brain. This dvd was the first time I focussed on one technique/system for a long time and it was worth it and didn't get boring for me. Just from focussing on the details I learned so much that has helped many aspects of my jiujitsú not just from the position itself.
Great Escapes from Side Control
Essential Side Control Escapes by Shawn Williams
I am half way through the series and I have already been able to apply some of the techniques in my live rolls with outstanding results. I highly recommend that you give this instructional a look if you are struggling with getting stuck in bottom side control.

Power Ride: A New Philosophy on Pinning by Craig Jones
great instruction
Awesome Instructional
Assassin Choke by Baret Yoshida
Been studying baret yoshidas technical breakdown on youtube of his comp footage for a year now. I bought this instructional the day it was released. I can hands down say, this is the most comprehensive and easy to follow instructional I have. I have drilled this instructional religiously to try and get my crucifix up to black belt level, and this has made that goal alot more approachable. I'm at the point in my learning where upper belts have started to respect my crucifix, and people in the gym have realized that I'm hunting this position. Thank you baret <3
Escapes everyone should know
Pin Escapes & Turtle Escapes: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
John Danaher has a way of explaining critical details that you may already be doing, but didn't know why you did them, until now. Learning escapes is one of the first things that you should focus on in the beginning of your Jiu-Jitsu career and nobody explains in better than the man himself. Do yourself a favor and get this series.
